Over 100° in the shade, AC can't keep up, house won't go below 73° which is fine except in the living room with the open beam ceiling. I feel the heat coming through the roof.

The Amish have a sense of humor when it comes to naming towns. When I was on recruiting duty had a map of the Lancaster County on the inside of the "SMART" board. Every time I opened it would laugh. Start at Smoketown then Bird in Hand, Intercourse, Paradise then end up in Blue Ball.

I use a lot of horse wrap especially during hunting season. Used to buy it for the dog just in case. Last few years seem to go through a lot of it for myself.

 Evening folks. 3 hour nap this morning ... 3 hour nap this evening ... good enough I reckon.

    Hiya Mikey

    Indeed they do. :frusty:

    More fishing video please.

Glad to be here with you. :)

So sad those words don't mean what they used to mean...at least not the way it was growing up, or even when we first moved here. Ours in Palmer shut down probably 10 yrs ago now. :(
The ones in Anchorage are more akin to WalMart than a hardware store; hell they smell like that popori crap practically. Hell, even my favorite hardware store of all time ever, in my wife's hometown of Hinton, Iowa, is no longer there. I practically cried when I saw it was gone; wooden bins in that place had to date back to 1890s or not far off from it. Am I rambling again...

Hope you're sleeping well by now, if not soon. :)

    sleep well Greg.

    Nice pics Jimi. :)

Whose HH-60, CG, Army, or AF?

    Hiya Chief

I've driven thru Intercourse and Paradise a couple times. There's a pub outside RAF Mildenhall, UK called the Bird in Hand.

    He didn't?

Got the battery computer changed out, looks like the 2nd battery might be ok. I had to wait for the sun to go down behind the hills, still damn hot.

Yes, couldn't take a nap at lunch, too hot, but I am drinking lots of liquid. Got home and fell asleep, woke up and the cat was sleeping on me. I was sweating, he was purring, I don't get cats.

    Good evening folks.
I see that in quite a few of us retirees. Proud of what we did, lived the life and did a damn good job, but well over it.
