My new to me trailer is ready for it's first real trip. 2,000+ miles in the next couple weeks and hopefully 10+ nights camping. I also got my new fridge slide mounted up for my dometic fridge. I'm really looking forward to using the new set up.

Just an update, I got this mount today and tested it out. The flex bar itself is pretty stout for being flexible. The tablet mount itself had enough play that I think it would bug me while off road. Going to go another route.

Don't know which one you were talking to, but the one I was speaking with was in Australia and I would have to do at least 10-12 sets. But it again came down to the Freight costs. If more people were interested it would be more worth it.

They are available through several dealers but are just harder to find. It would be easier to get a set of Maxtrax or Tred Pro's just cause they are easier to find recently.

I think we should get together and talk about where we can get them in and see if you and I can set up something?

What about just using some loading ramps for a trailer? Heavy but won't break.

I loved growing up in the Bay Area so much that I didn't consider moving there or LA, or anywhere in CA when I got out of the Army.

We moved to MN and I couldn't be happier with never going back to that deplorable state....hella heartsies!!! ;-)

On the note of posting tracks and epic camp sites. I also refrain... I'll post pics but the exact locations are kept close to chest.

Over the weekend I mocked this up.

Nice! Maybe they'll add it to their design! You add rails or just tack it up? You pretty much have a popup mansion at this point.

How come you're running the power to the bed through the cab? I have power to one of the bedside pockets, through a breaker under the hood, right from the battery...

Convenience I suppose. The alternative is to run it out the bottom of the engine compartment and along the frame. Just didn't want to bother with figuring out how to secure it in hard-to-reach places.

I get it. I followed other wire runs and zip tied off of them as far back as possible. Getting around the gas tank was a bear, but after that was pretty clear sailing. Here's my set up...

    Zip ties.

There is a wiring harness that routes right down the passenger side frame rail. This is where I ran a 4ga welding wire.

Exits factory battery, blue sea 60a breaker on the fuse box lid, across the firewall, drops out of the engine bay along the factory wiring. Pops up between the cab and bed and through a hole about 12" up. Then into a blue sea fuse block with grounding bus mounted to the box that holds my water bladder. The ground lead, same 4ga wire, exits the bed and I'd grounddd to the outside of the frame rail using a through bolt to another ground lead that mounts to a body ground point.

All accessory power in the bed tins off this box, and my power lead is routed so I can easily plumb in my second battery at the passenger firewall.

I haven't looked on the passenger side. Not sure why I had a block on it. That sounds like a better option.

Just looked at my passenger side. Wiring goes into the cab. No wiring goes out the bottom of the engine compartment on either side. Wiring for the tail lights goes through the firewall on the driver's side, down along the door sill, out through the grommet under the driver's seat, and along the frame.

Maybe 2nd and 3rd gens have more to work with when it comes to routing wiring out the bottom of the engine compartment. For V6 1st gens, that option takes things close to the exhaust. That and there aren't many suitable locations for ziptying.
