I don't know if it could be three yrs old or not.

Thanks so much! We'll keep a close watch on it.

Whew! Does that go by manufacturing date or original sale date?

IIRC ... dealer here called it on delivery date to the original dealer, but I'm not absolutely positive. For a Saturday night answer, go check your door jamb for manufacture date; if that one makes it less than 3 yrs, it's a mute point. Just get it in before 3 yrs from that.

Usually first sale date and you should get an email from Toyota dealer where you get service done, that your warranty is expiring. Same with the 5/60 powertrain

You know what, my Tacoma was a leased vehicle originally, and that date played into the 3 yr clock start date some how. I think Susan nailed it with the sale date.

Yeah, it gets real "fine print lawyer shit" with that warranty stuff ... it'd be good to know the firm date. On the RAM that was an additional selling point for me, my powertrain is warrantied to 5yrs/100K miles; that changed with the 2016s to 5yrs/60K.

Didn't even know. The races are going on at Madera Speedway. The hotel is about 1/2 mile away so we decided to come over and watch....the vacation is off to a good start.

Ugh. 13 hours on one floor in one room with 250 people solving one of the worlds most complex jigsaw puzzles. Came home and connected in still working on some pieces.

But all in all one of the best groups every worked with. No finger pointing just replies like well I was afraid of that we have contingencies A, B and C which one do you think will work best?

When I read about some of the people that many here have to deal with at work it makes my ass hole pucker. I have spent many years with those people too, this is refreshing. But after this many hours of working and complex troubleshooting I am showing my age when I look in the mirror. And noticed others over the age of 50 seem to also.

I did the Mopar or no car, actually truck, thing for awhile. But always focused on trucks. With my FJ55 pulled the 2F engine at the Bremerton, Wa. shop on base after I rebuilt a SBC 350 to drop into it. Of course it was a 4 bolt main lot of torque and took me awhile to find one. And acid dipped the block, wonder how they clean them now pretty sure can't do that any more.

Edelbrock had a package at the time in the early 80's and I shot for low end torque while everyone else was radical high end torque. Holy 650 that came with it seems tame compared to what others have done in last few pages. And only punched it .030 over on the cylinders but that beast pulled a lot of jeeps and other vehicles out of the Olympic mountains when I was done.

Did my retirement physical at Charleston as they were closing the base. Grass was high with no maintenance at all on the grounds. And understood why so many people in the South went to Asheville, NC where I lived to escape the heat and humidty. But then you go to Florida, just saying.

Wi. and Mn. can get soupy as hell you have to go West of the Missouri river in SD to escape the humidty. That is also the start of the sage brush sea that extends to the West coast. On the other hand have friends from the West that come here to hunt and they say that this place is lousy with chlorophyll LOL. But they have a dry heat. Yeah spent a number of years in that dry heat... But too many years in the wet heat of a boiler and engine room.

It is interesting the front box has an off set lid so it is not built for them it is an off the shelf unit from somewhere. The offset at the back allows it to be pushed up against say the back of the cab so you can open the lid with out it binding.
