Taxes differ among states and even counties, is an apples to oranges comparison for those who keep including taxes.

2017 TRD OR DCSB manual trans MGM black/ orange interior, tech package, all weather mats and door liners, tonneau cover ( which is garbage btw) and exhaust tip . Paid 36500 msrp was 38500 give or take a few hundred. I consider this was a rare package as there was only a few mgm with the manual within 1000 miles.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
People here quote taxes, fees, add-ons etc. here all the time --THis is not a true comparison-PERIOD! Give the bottom line for the EXACT (tell what it came with) truck, with nothing added --none of the before mentioned --also no finance fees --In other words --the bottom line - If your dealer don't want to give it to you --then they ARE DECIEVING YOU. Also leave out any trade in stuff
Then and only then can you do a fair comparison with what others are paying -- That is only if they give you the bottom line as well.
For example --I paid 30475 for a 17 SR5 V6 4WD AC AT with one option -Tow pkg. No trade in. I still had to pay Missouri taxes on the difference on what I sold my old truck for. (this also can be different, depending on where you live! That's what I paid --plain and simple. Some do better--some do worse on the exact truck --I had to order mine -- and that's the way it was.
The taxes and license fees vary widely from state to state-- please leave them out --when you give a OTD price -- it means NOTHING --except to someone buying in the exact same state --and sometimes in the exact same city or county.

Keep on Truckin' and paradox4286 like this.

Probably could have got it cheaper, but my Acura was on its final lap so I pulled the trigger. They gave me 3,500 for trade in when it was maybe worth 1,000 in parts.
Couldn't be happier with my purchase! Lots of upgrades to come soon!

This info is helpful only if you also give the MSRP of the truck.!!!!! The difference between the MSRP and your $36,500 OTD fully tells whether you got a good deal or not.

Since I listed the options, one could figure that out. But to make you feel better MSRP was $40498

    $40498 -$36500 = $3998. That is a discount of 9.87%. Excellent buy!!

My point is that only with the info you provided plus the MSRP, can a person make this determination.

    btw AF also!

Most of us are obsessed enough/researched we know the pricing based on the options, there is also a sticky thread with invoice pricing. Yep I wouldnt have traded my 16 otherwise, killer deal on my dream tacoma, number 7 now. Thanks!

2017 TRD OR DCLB 4x4 with Tow package, paint protection film, all weather floor mats and door sill, wheel locks, spare tire lock, glass break sensor, mud flaps, exhaust tip, oval steps, and trd skidplate. Msrp was 39,389.00. I paid 37,900 before tax and lisence. I only wanted a TRD Sport DCLB in MGM. The dealer said they had one in stock, but when i showed up it was a 2wd. Told them they had to give me a good deal for me to take home the OR and still ended up leaving spending more than I thought I would. But I love my truck. Lol

I was wondering if I got a good deal or not? From what I can tell it wasn't too bad since I'm in AZ so there seems to be a high demand for Tacomas. I'll let you guys be the judge. New 2017 Metallic Grey 4x4 TRD OR with tow package, door sill protectors, predator steps, entune app suite (no JBL, or dual climate control and no sunroof) but back up camera, nav and sirius radio trial. Paid 34,500 plus tax/title etc OTD was 36,880.

I just picked up a 17 TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 auto with premium and technology package with JBL audio, tow package and carpet floor mats with door sill protector. MSRP: $39,788. I paid: $37,096.59. After taxes and fees: $40,899.29. Is that a reasonable price? I'm also in California and tax is 8.75%.
