    The cross bars are wire molds, used for wiring houses. They are the perfect shape and size for the project, and no welding! :D I've been using a dremel for my sanding. I kinda want to keep the shape that the adhesive putty is in, but still have it smooth.

    nice! I guess if I were to do it, I would cut holes the shape of the ends of the wire molds where they would connect with the sides of the grille, then have them extend past and apply adhesion behind the plastic, but jus my 0.02
