I was washing my truck the other day and noticed I have what looks like white spray paint overspray all over the front of my truck. It's on the grill, headlights, rear view mirror, bull bar. My truck is quicksand so it's not noticeable unless you get right up on it but I wanna get it off. I tried goo gone but it didn't work. Anybody ever dealt with this problem? Any suggestions of what to use to remove it?

Go pick up some Meguiars cleaner wax and use a fiber cloth and you'll be good to go it should come right out

Make sure you get thinner and not stripper. If you get the stripper you're going to have a bad time.

X2 on thinner. Stripper will ruin your year and acetone will do nothing but lighten your wallet.

You can also pick out some of this stuff which works amazing and it will get the overspray off. It is for removing tar and heavy water spots and overspray. I know this because I used to own a auto detail business and I use Meguiars products and this product for tougher jobs20170709_200458.jpg

I believe a clay bar might also do the trick

Clay bar will be the most inevasive approach. It will take more time and effort but you clear coat won't suffer from the chemicals or abrasives in other products.

Clay bar for sure. Wouldn't be cleaning a new truck with paint thinner myself.

    none yet/none planned! It's perfect!
Had a car that got the rear upper cover painted and there was clear overspray all over the car and clay bar took it off. Have to get it early though.

I've removed a LOT of overspray with a clay bar, spray lubricant (detail spray), and a whole lot of elbow grease. It isn't easy, but it will work. I would use paint thinner as a last ditch effort.

If you run out of patience or the clay bar isn't working, I'd recommend some bug/tar remover.

no heat required easy off oven cleaner. I had a yellow 69 nova and had an ex spray paint red paint all over it. oven cleaner will leave no marks and wont hurt the clear coat. just make sure it doesnt say heat oven on the can.

I remember when I had my 14 Camry. MGM color. I ran over a spray can in the street that was full of white paint. I had paint from the bottom to the top of the car. It was aweful. Got some automotive paint thinner and a tshirt. Cleaned it all off.

My son just did that last week. ran over a white spray can on his red car. He called me and asked what to do and I sent him to walmart for oven cleaner. he went to the store and back home (40 minutes round trip) and sprayed the white paint. by the time he got to the back of the car, the front wiped right off.
