Thanks man. I love tinkering and working on little projects like these, and happy to share my journey.
No. Preheat oven... when up to temp set 1 in. Leave oven ON for 15min.
Take out and work quickly. Start with going around the entire perimeter of the headlight with a flat head "breaking" the seal. This helps A LOT. Then start prying it open.

For sure. I already popped them out and put my RX's back in. Just wanted to make sure everything was perfectly level/aligned before sealing them up.

While I'm waiting on the halos, I need to fit the second shroud(using another set of OEM donor lights that I am cutting the shrouds out of) so they both will look stock.
Then BHLM, some various wiring, etc

 

Here is a a little OEM touch for you guys;

Sacrificed some donors to extract the factory shroud. Now I can have a matching set in each headlight.


Since the inside projector is offset, I whipped up an ABS "extension" so it would transition smooth to the outside shroud



Violla! Fitment is spot on. The new shroud meets right up with the turn signal fins, no room to spare.
Don't worry, it will all get painted
