I was able to slide my hand up in between the hitch and bumper on the passenger side, but on the driver side I had to crawl under, contort my arm up and over the hitch then down to the light socket....
I was moments away from grabbing the neighbor kid (9 yr old) to help. I don't have huge hands, usually a L or XL in gloves, but it was tight.

We all know the 3rd gens have no drivers side "Oh shit" bar. I drive a new frontier at work and it has one and the other 3 seats each have 2??? Lol...

Thanks!! Yeah the grill looks really big in the photo. Doesn't look that pronounced in person.

Unfortunately the ONLY things modern in a Frontier are the grab handles.

@rrentrop makes great decals. Finally installed the engine cover and tailgate decals. Just waiting on the AJT Designs key fob decals to arrive now. 20170709_141735.jpg 20170709_190301.jpg

I have the same set on my '16, for some reason I expected it stiff but on the contrary, adds a faint bounce to the ride. Definitely helps when towing, I have a boxed 6x12 carrying about 2k lbs of cargo and has a slight drop.

Yes the frontier is dated and kinda ugly and very cheap interior. I really liked my 03 supercharged just don't like the new ones.

I always liked Frontiers but they are just so dated. With the new Tacoma, Colorado and a new Ranger on the horizon Nissan is going to get killed in the small/mid size truck market. It really made shopping for a new 2016 truck a very narrow search. To me the Tacoma was a no brainer given the choices. I only wish I had the new Ranger and a modernized Frontier for comparison. My father has had all Nissan trucks for over 20 years with zero problems. In fact I still drive my 1998 Maxima 3-4 days a week. At 91k miles it has a lot of life left with excellent like new leather and a killer Bose system. So Nissan does make good vehicles albeit dated. But I still love my Tacoma.

When shopping for a 2017 i waited to see if frontier was going to be redesigned. I still have a modded 98 Ranger, modded 87 nissan 300z turbo in my avatar and stock 87 nissan d21 which is my hauling truck, 279k on original clutch...all bought brand new in family.

Gave my truck a long overdue professional detailing. Took about 8 hours, which included a wash, full clay bar of the truck and all glass, two coats of Meguiar's ultimate liquid wax, poorboy's wheel sealant, cleaned inside of all glass, armorall on interior trim, installed a screen protector on my headunit, and installed a dash designs sun shade.

Firmed up the back end a little bit. Less roll on the corners. I like it, feels more like a truck.

Like the look. Waiting on my Leer to be shipped. Is it me or does the cap need to move forward an inch or so? It looks like there is an overhang in the back, and a gap up front.
