Is there supposed to be some software for the UCON or something? I see a USB cable in the box, but haven't figured out what I'm supposed to do with it, :)

Gadget doesn't provide the software but if remote support is needed then you need to connect the USB to the laptop and im sure they remote in to the laptop and install the software then.

USB plugs into top USB slot. The other cable self explanatory. Thumb drive has the thermostat, gears, and UCON install instructions.

Installed cam gears today! Those cam bolts were worse than the crank bolt. I have a 24mm wrench if anyone needs to borrow it...

Back from vacation. Went straight to truck. Got fault p0113 air inlet temperature fault. Changed MAF, CLEARED code. Still fires then dies approx 1 second later.
Calling the G Man in the morning.

That code is a circuit fault I believe and not a range/performance code.

This would lead me to looking at a wiring issue. Could be a wire shorted to ground, shorted to battery or circuit open.

Unplug the harness at that sensor and physically examine the pins on the sensor and on the connector. Make sure there is no corrosion of any kind. Make sure none of the pins are bent. Make sure none of the female pins are spread too far apart. Make sure none of the wires are pulled loose from the pins where they're crimped to the pins. If all good, make sure when you plug it back in that it fully seats and the connector locks in when you plug it back in.

Since the UCON is in series between the truck's ECU harness and the ECU, it could also be a problem with those connectors. Unplug all of those and inspect all of them in the same way. (Corrosion, bent pins, female pin spread, crimp separation, connector locks)

You can buy a 48-hour access to Techstream to look at wiring diagrams. There may also be a measurement you can do on that sensor to make sure it's getting the power and ground it needs to operate. As well as a specification to measure at the output pins of the sensor to make sure it's operational.

EDIT: Another thing to try is take the UCON out and plug the stock plugs back into the ECU. If it starts and runs, you've narrowed it down quite a bit.

Thanks loginfailed. The code didn't come back and I figured Gadget can remote in to see what's up. On my Torque app I am seeing some funky numbers too like all 02 sensors read -40c. Trans temps were all over the place, etc.
Unfortunately I just don't know what the UCON manipulates exactly to know if the readings on Torque are valid, or UCON manipulated.
One other thing though...I DID just remove my MAF cal at the time of UCON install. I will go in and check the wiring again.

Problem solved! Thanks for the help!
I remembered when I originally installed the MAF cal, two of the wires go between "bridge" the stock MAF wire. So you have to cut the stock wire so the MAF cal conditions the signal.
So I went back into my wiring, soldered the stock wire back together and BAM, the truck started right up! Will post impressions later as I've only driven 5 miles so far. No knocking, no leaks, and more power so far.
    Thanks again all!

I got a CEL today. P2445, secondary air injection stopped.
I didn't think it would be anything too bad and it wasn't.
I had the hose that runs to the pumps kinked lol. It was pushed out of the way of my urd cai.

I'm going to tackle the UCON install tomorrow. I got a new set of valve cover gaskets, an intake gasket and some coolant ready to go. I also picked up a new serpentine belt I figure I may as well swap that out while I have the charger off.

    Woot.

Ucon is running my truck well, but i get a reoccurring P219A cel. Besides this I feel I gained about 35 hp at 3,500 ft elevation with full supercharger bolt-ons

How long have you had the UCON installed? I have 50 miles now and mine threw p209a and p209b twice. I have cleared the codes and they didnt come back on my last drive. Maybe it takes a little while for the UCON and ecu to mesh.

I had 219a/b codes with the AFR sensor calibrator. Gadget said the unit was bad and sent me a new one but I never installed it. So I don't know if it was truly bad or these trucks just don't mesh well with them.

I hope the UCON doesn't cause CELs all the time. That's a good way to make me get rid of it.
