Yeah no thanks, I'd rather not pay 30k for the truck disgruntled Joe learned to do donuts in.

I extremely doubt it, past (even with the rust recall, this isn't a new thing) and current ("turd" gen has been out for 2 years now) sales say otherwise...

Growing up, I remember this guys yota, rusted to shit, bed strapped together, but every time he got in a turned the key it started right up and purred. This is why I bought mine.

Parts guy told me at least two months for my parts. Meantime I have a TRD Sport 4x4, compared to my 4 banger this is a huge upgrade. I am enjoying the truck, I can actually do a little off-roading with my friends. Limited because of the tires and stock lift but still, im actually off road. And my truck is a lease so.....no miles accrued till I get it back. I only drive about 9k a year anyways but I consider this a win for me. I get to drive a truck I couldn't afford for a few months anyways.

I am thinking about doing a comparison post between the trucks for those that might be interested but I can see why some of you are pissed about the V6 lacking take off power. Mine does not feel that far behind but it definitely is better at highway speeds than mine. I am taking care of this truck like I do mine but this thing stinks like smoke and is in poor condition for a 2017 with 10k miles on it.

Buddy bought a Chevy impala, ex rental with 10k miles on it. Thing was in the shop every month for bullshit. Fucking cigarette burns on the roof? How does that happen?!?! Best thing that happened to that vehicle was him getting rear ended by a car going 30mph and him slamming into the other car in front. Car was done lol.

Couple months ago my buddy and I rented a new Ford fusion with that shit stop start tech. We did have fun with it however. We found out multiple times that the electronic ebrake works at 15mph hahaha.

When we used to get rental cars we would head down to the local McDonalds, steal 4 trays, and head to a nice open lot. Then stack the trays 2 high and pull the rear wheels onto them. Apply parking brake.

Then proceeded to car ski until there was half tread left on the front tires. Drove off to somewhere quiet to rotate the front tires to back and do it again.

    Oh to be young again.

Definitely wouldn't ever buy a rental vehicle or marry a girl I "dated" as a teenager. I also don't want to see my sausages made.

Are you going to buy a 3rd gen knowing that the diff could explode? The MAF and CPS may need immediate replacing? Or now that there is direct injection, the engine may not even last to 200k without carbon build up?

Or even a second gen knowing the frame could bust due to excessive rust?

Good luck to the person that buys this Nissan. Toyota got it for me to drive from enterprise while they hold my truck. Did a nice rough trail today at about 30 to 40 mph, did a water crossing that put the nose completely under water and then ran back down the trail at 20 to 30 mph. Rentals kick ass, just feel sorry for the poor bastard that buys it. Lol:rofl:btw it has 2800 miles on it. The last 200 I don't think it cared for. Oh and can't forget the multiple donuts as celebration dance that it didn't leave me stranded.

why are so many people total fucking dildos when it comes to rentals. Some poor schmuck is possibly going to buy it down the road and they could be in a position where they can't afford the dumb bullshit you did.

Have you looked at how the 3.5 is designed? Won't get carbon buildup like the eco boosts do. We have intake port cleaning....

This could well be the case. I know my wife's 96 was one of the first run in MA to be looked at/fail the frame inspection. 3rd day and they already had about 25 other trucks sitting there that failed.

They sent her home that day with a Camry and told her they might be able to get a truck in 2-3 weeks if she needed one..she just kept the Camry b/c I had my Colorado then but they ran out of trucks to give as loaners pretty fast.

That said I'm sure if someone insisted on a truck they would get one asap best they could..

My last car was a 2013 IS250. It was a dealer loaner and it was in mint condition with low miles. Never had a single problem with it. Seems like people that drive Lexus are a bit older so they probably don't romp on rentals like younger people.

Also I think it's pretty shitty what people do to rental cars. Purposely trashing someone else's property isn't cool.
