Fired about 50 rounds through the 509 this morning at the range

    The hype is real

Super accurate, easy recoil and just overall a pleasure to shoot

I'm absolutely sold on this pistol and could not be happier with my purchase

I still love my Glocks, but my 509 outshot my 31 this morning without question

Took the 30 Nosler back out this morning before it got too hot. She's a shooter! Proud to say I build a pretty good rifle!

    190gn ABLR'S @ 3150fps.
5 shot group, 4 together and that low one was shooters error!
    658yds!

Just starting my serious venture into long range shooting so not sure how this group stacks up. But from my hunter standpoint it's a damn good group!

I still need to check with FN but I was told today by the local gunsmith that the 509 trigger is the same as the FNS-9C and APEX has a flat trigger blade replacement

    I like muskets too :) I still wouldn't pack 32 into those mags, just like 28in a 30, I would only do 30 in a 32. IMO

I was told that a certain Sig pistol sights also fit...so there's already an established aftermarket option there too

Honestly, I really didn't notice any real problems with the factory 509 trigger, but I was also giddy on how accurate I was

From what I have heard is the 509 trigger has a shorter take up and reset unlike the FNS 9C plus I would the trigger reach just a bit shorter as well....

I sent my FNS 9C back to FN complaining about the trigger they said they made some adjustments but nothing wrong with it....

But how does the 509 compare to a p320 or P10c?

    Hey Jim,
Not sure if you seen this or not but FN has a promotion on the 509
right for 3 free mags. I have been looking at one and seen this about a week ago.

    Morning all.
Anybody have recommendations on a pistol-caliber carbine? I'm considering upgrading the truck gun to something that shares a load with my carry gun (9mm). I'm not looking for a $1500 Kriss, but I want something accurate and reliable, obviously. I'd like to find an old Marlin Camp 9 because they use the same mags as my 5906, but they're tough to come across and they're not that compact. Anybody have any opinions/experience with the Kel-tec Sub2k? I think they make a model that uses Glock 19 mags, of which I have...several.

    Had a gen 1 Sub2k in 40 and now have a gen 2 in 9mm

I like mine, but it doesn't see any hard use...more of a range toy for me

My current side project. Remington 700 LR in 300 Win Mag with a Vortex 4-16x44 HS-T. Next upgrades will be an 8oz Timney trigger and an Atlas bipod.

How's the accuracy on it? Do you like the factory irons (plastics) or did you put an optic on there? Are they a pain to field strip, or do they come apart pretty easily?

Accuracy is good enough for me but don't expect competition results

Factory sights because optics ruin the option of folding it and fitting it in a backpack

Field strip is fine far as I recall but it's been awhile since I had it out

    Gotcha.
I'm not looking for competition accuracy out of it; it'd just be knocking around in the truck for recreation and emergencies. The 30-30 that I use now shoots 'minute of 2-liter bottle' at 100 yards just fine, so as long as it met that standard I'd be satisfied, lol.
Good to know about the optic, thanks! I hadn't realized that it'd interfere with folding it up.

Right now I'm just looking at possibilites but I haven't actually had the chance to fondle one yet. Any other suggestions for a carbine?
