Great looking tipi. I thought it was a kifaru. I'll check out the seek outsides.

I found a decent set of hard white deer sheds too this weekend. Glassed them up while looking for sheep. Although I have many bigger sets of sheds, this could be one of the better "as they lay" photos I have taken...20170709_121836.jpg

Gold mines are always hiring welders and mechanics. Pays good too if you can hack the hours.

Meh. Lots of accidents happen out in the woods, and lot's of people who may not understand certain fire instructions or information can gain some good, forced knowledge of how to deal with having fires and such. It's also free, so it's hard to get upset with having to get one.

What did you have for fuel tanks? Tons of rotopax? Jerry cans? Currently trying to decide how I'll manage this.

I had one 2 gallon and one 4 gallon rotopax. I barely made it back to civilization. Took 20 gallons to fill up at the station.

Maybe time for some 5 gallon jerry cans. Love the shot with the thunderstorm rolling across the valley in the distance. What area were you scouting in?

This was a couple weeks ago. Headed into CA to get out of the heat and scout out the snow level in some areas off HWY 89. Both places I wanted to camp were blocked by huge drifts so we settled for a small primitive USFS campground in the area. Also slashed a tire on the way home so I ended up with a new set of KO2's. The Goodyear Kevlars lasted 15.5k miles.

15gal. minimum extra fuel on trips like that. I don't like the stress and I figure it will get used anyway.

I'm running the kbvoodoo mid rack also. At one point I had 4 people sitting in it fOra while with no issues. Tent plus people weighed roughly 700lbs. Rack had no issues with that weight though I won't do that regularly. If you are talking about the OEM roof rack, it's only rated to support something like 200lb so I personally wouldn't put my 130lb rtt on it with me(200lbs) in it.
