I recently just ditched my tonneau cover on my truck as I now have an RTT on the back which is of more use. Back when I first got my tonneau cover, I was big into RC planes and so I would stash my planes back there as they could be strapped down and safe from the elements.

When not flying though, my bed was mostly just a junk bin for moving blankets and stuff as I just never cleared it out. To me the tonneau cover served its purpose, but for once my bed actually has a purpose with an RTT. I don't ever have anything in my bed, so a cap to me is a waste and since I got an RTT I wouldn't want to risk long term failure/MPG with an RTT on top of a glass cap without steel reinforcement.

I agree with the others, I don't think the tonneau cover will be of use to you, and I think with the color it could go pretty quick.

Yea I wont be installing a RTT at all (since a 1 year old puts a surprisingly HUGE damper on your camping expeditions).... but I was thinking about just selling it and trying to pick up an OEM roof rack so I can occasionally toss some extra cargo on there.....or hell, maybe I'll end up getting a topper for it and toss the dog back there when we take trips....

I used to have the OEM roof rack. If you plan to load more than 100 pounds then I would look into a more serious rack. I plan to hopefully get a prinsu, just need to see if my current light bar mounts can fit on around the rack.

I thought Prinsu had a cut out for a light bar, you just need to purchase it separately.

    **EDIT**

    Yup, there it is:

Bummer for me the link didn't work for some reason, but yea I got a 52" straight light bar. My hope is I can shave down the front spacers a little and slightly bend my light bar mounts to clear the rack as it is quite bendable. We will see if I can get over to @Lots2Learn58's pad soon.

Doesn't have to be tig. Spool gun works the same. Same process different tool. May not be as "pretty" as tig, but would be equally as strong.
