OH. The tailgate is still removed on that one. My buddy had one on his F150, and you could either open up the small door, or that ENTIRE rear part flips up.

Oh ok got ya, I like that look in that it keeps the vehicle looking more like a POV instead of a work truck, but Im sure the contractor route will be much more robust structurally.

i dont want this one. I want a normal folding window in the back. The windoors are super useful. And I have the bedslide ordered. So it will look good.

Actually this might look good. Using the door as an awning.

A heck of a lot lighter too. Those other caps are extremely heavy, around 200 lbs

Those doors looks good and are useful, but it gives more the look of a service truck than an offroad rig... But look always comes after utility. Get what you want, if it is not available, wait for it so you won't regret your choice

For good reason though, I mean I wouldn't want to load up a cap with an RTT on it without some sort of reinforcement. I would imagine you could likely save about 50 pounds if you made an internal reinforcement with the standard glass ones to get around the full robust shell of the contractor type.

I meant the fiberglass ones with the rear door are extremely heavy. The contractor ones are aluminum and are much lighter than any of the glass ones

aluminum caps have the internal reinforcement, and the ladder rack on the outside. My RTT only weighs 120lbs.. so what is that a couple ladders?

Oh ok I had you backwards then. I would go for contractor if the door route is preferred.

I think if you go for aluminum then I wouldn't worry about anything. I was meaning if you went the traditional glass cap that many around here have with an RTT.

aluminum, ladder rack, windoors on both sides, normal opening on the back (not the double doors), and less than $500. Search radius - VA to Pennsylvania to WV to NJ
