Oh you still have it setup that way I see. I'd switch to using the speed pickup on the fj case, it eliminates a few headaches. One of my favorite mods so far.

I was gonna order one from Wyatt anyway because I plan on eventually getting a diamond axle for the rear too.

My buddy has a taco on a d60 front and 14b rear, 3link radius arm, coilovers up front with No sway bars and it handles better than it did before the swap.

Nope, a cowl bar would have to be about 6 inches off the body to allow the hood to open.

At the firewall it's triple layered steel from the factory so I welded directly to the body and then plated over again to reinforce it. I don't like tube over the fenders, nor am I in love with my front bumper so the firewall/front body mount was perfect.

I used a friends JD2 with an air over hydro ram. I don't have air in my garage so it is really nice that you can still manually pump the jack.

This is easily the most time I've ever spent on anything I hope to never use though.

You are more apt to use it wheeling around here rather than Moab. In Moab the cage will just keep you alive enough to be awake through your 13sec plunge down into the canyon... :D

First time I saw one of those in rig I had a similar reaction lol

Talk about a massive and strong axle. Big fella too, so definitely for guys running really big meats.

I like those. I wonder how the strength of a 14 bolt plays out in it being a low pinion front.

no different than a D60 being a low pinion front yeah you're running on the wrong side of the ring gear but it's still so strong who cares.

You will break axle shafts, hubs and locker before you even have to start thinking about the gears.

You're right about that. We're installing it under this rig on 42"s running a crate 502.

Exactly. It's really a very strong axle no matter what.

Great axle choice for the amount of hp and torque that engine will put out :D

That's a really bad ass rig. I like it a lot. What's the rear axle? Another 14bolt? Also, it seems you have enough room to fit 44"s!

Yeah, a 14B is going in the rear as well. 44"s would probably clear for the most part, but the 42"s rub the front tube fenders. The rig is too top heavy and has been on it's lid a time or two, so we're lengthening the wheelbase, changing the link geometry and shock location to get it to sit lower. King's are getting swapped out for ORIs.
