Dude if you intend to keep your truck (and you should) I would highly recommend one of these kits. I have it and I love it!

It's definitely one of my must have mods. Thinking she'll be staying a while so I may do a couple small mods and be done with it until forever from now when frankly it may be possible to own a ,dare i say it, electric truck that can tow a good distance. But I am going to be waiting until closer to the baby popping, daycare ain't gonna be cheap.

Matt, I purchased a bed light kit from you about a year ago for my 16 Taco. The switch just went bad. Please advise. Thanks, Tom McFadden.

I would actually argue the opposite, but it's entirely based on each person (obviously). I occasionally camp in the back of my truck, so it makes sense for me to be able to operate the lights from within the bed.

I thought about a switch in the cab too, but for me, if I'm going to be activating the switch from the cab, it means I need to see into the bed, which means I need to get things out of or into the bed, which means I'll be there where the switch is anyway...

I actually did a dual switch, have switches in cab as well as in bed. I honestly haven't really used the ones in cab much, more convenient to use the bed switch, but at least I have it if I need it

20170718_223233.jpg I am glad I went ahead and pulled ordered the bed lights. They were very easy to install. My son and I had a blast putting them on. The only thing is they show how dirty my truck is now!
    Thanks Matt!

    Hey Matt,

I'm interested in your bed lights but have a question. I have a Roll-n-Lock bed cover and the cover housing takes up the upper front part of the bed (10 inches).
Have you seen your lights go into a truck with one of these and where did they put the front strip of lights?
Also, to put these on the cover housing I would need a little extra wire to run them around the housing bucket. Does your regular "package" come with enough wire to route this or would I need to add some length?

    Thanks!

I believe this is the same cover, I can make the wire harness a little longer for no charge.

Found another nice thing about these lights... they don't use much battery... accidentally left my bed lights on over night (probably about 6 hours) and didn't drain the battery... truck fired right up.
