Rear locked in the future for sure and right now i'm usually carrying a full set of tie rods with me as that seems to be the most common break(that i've seen)and I've already had the issue myself once.

    Thanks!!

I used Maps.me which is an offline and free map program. You must download the needed detailed maps for the area you will be traveling in but other than that, its totally offline. I loaded the KML file for the loop and then just followed it. It does not give turn by turn directions, but its not too bad just looking over and following the line.

And you got it on leading the run, it was great fun for me! Thanks to you and the other H-Town folks for joining in! If yall do any runs, lets us know and im sure some will make it over.

Good call on the tie rods for sure. I'd also add a CV and a brake line to the mix if you can if you plan on getting into more challenging stuff. CVs don't just brake from pounding the gas, and I've blown brake lines twice..

Gonna try and drag more people from SA area up to Austin for next months C&C/T&T.

We created a FB event to help gauge interest and hash out details.

Will keep yall in the loop.
Hopefully we can cover that gravel lot next go round.

Bend. SLC is a beautiful area but that's a weird town. Kind of like Corpus except better developed. Middle of the afternoon on a weekday, downtown, and it feels dead. I expect more activity from a city that size. Good food though.

Wish I could make it more often. Typically the second Sunday is when the wife has drills and I have the kids. :ballchain::ballchain:

Oh man Bend. Last December I drove from Houston to Seattle. It was supposed to be a 32 hour trip but I turned out to be something like 60 hours because of a major blizzard that hit the whole PNW area. Non stop driving (except for one time we ( 2 other guys) stopped in who knows where Nevada to sleep. We left the car on and the heater running. It was 9 degrees outside and 2 degrees when we woke up.) We drove into Bend to get snow tires because we thought we were going to need them. It was some Truman show shit. The town was tiny, but it was like a time lapse of going back decades. Imagine driving into the 1950's. Everyone was nice; such hospitality, respect, and a focus on customer service, but an equal juxtaposition of that PWN hippie hipster vibe. I would love to live there for a couple of years.

The answer to the question of why I don't go outside 6 months of the year here.

I'm a little over a 2 hour drive away. I'm in Giddings. I need to get out more... Definitely hit me up next time yall go out somewhere, and again after that when something doesn't work out. I usually don't follow well on here so hit me up on facebook.

I remember you having an aussie or something up front. I've wanted a front locker for a while now. Thanks for rubbing salt in the old wound. lol

I've never been to Bend before, but I'm going on a cross country road trip when I graduate and will visit for sure.

As for Salt Lake, my dad will find a couple restaurants he likes and then for the most part either stay at home or travel so the town isn't THAT important... plus, Utah.
