Yeah it adds up quick. Need to figure out what you really want out of the lift. If all you want is the look you can do it for a lot cheaper but if you want to do it right and you want the added performance of a nice aftermarket suspension it's going to cost, no way around it.

I've been fighting that battle for a while there myself. I'd love to fork out enough for a full blown icon or fox, but I don't have the need for that all. I think I'm going to just go with the OME that was mentioned earlier since it also includes a rear leaf pack replacement. I do tow occasionally so that beefier pack would really help. Not to mention if you put stuff in the bed or a cap on later, you'll have the extra beef back there. That with a set of upper control arms. Make sure whatever you get it includes all the needed hardware. I think most if not all do, but make sure it includes the longer u bolts and all that.

I have been doing lots of research on the lift as well and it seems like everyone has a different opinion. I will be going with ORI struts in the front and Alcans in the back, but it will be expensive...

Check out the current issue of 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine.
    https://www.4wdtoyotaownermagazine.com/

They have a really good write up on everything that is currently available. Should be a good place to start. If there is interest I might scan and post.

if you want cheap than you can always add lift blocks in the rear

these are similar to OME nitro shocks with a softer springs and you can probably get away without adding a UCA. get a good 2 inch lift then get some biggers tires to get a little more lift. for the $700 shipped its tough to beat and the company also sells parabolic leaf springs if you that instead of blocks

    https://www.amazon.com/Dobinsons-To...id=1499777678&sr=8-6&keywords=dobinson+tacoma

usually its the coils that provide the lift but another option you have if you want to go the cheapest route is lift blocks for the rear and bilstein shocks. you can reuse your factory coil and adjust the lift from the bilstein click feature. this option might ride a bit rough but give it a shot and if you dont like it than just buy some coils later

I gave you exactly what you asked for. I even made it so that it only showed results from this very website.

    Also, I own a 2nd gen :brianr:
