I've got the DMZ SUA and at least on my truck I need way more weight out back aside from a single full size spare. I was looking at your build thread and any reason why you are bumping so low? My bump stop is almost flush with the bottom of the frame fully collapsed.

Yeah my truck handled great with full size spare, battery, RTT and camp gear loaded up in the back. Now it's a bit stiff without the tent.

    I have 4 sets... :notsure:

    image.jpg

These 16" 3.0 4tubes are just paper weights right now waiting for some fresh shock mounts

Think Jeremy McGrath has enough adjustment? lets see if you can wrap your head around that setup

Icon will build you literally whatever you want, you just have to be patient.

Anyone with a cnc wanna cut a small piece of plate for me? 1/8" aluminum or steel doesn't matter, 6"x10" and some holes in the middle. I'll give you the file but need someone to cut it.

He means when it stops moving, when the slip yoke runs out of travel. Strap it then or before you shocks run out of travel, which ever happens first

One side done other than brake lines. Tear down the drivers side tomorrow and finish it up Thursday is the plan.

Is there a # attached to the travel loss per lift gained? IE Go from a 8" shackle to a 6" shackle and gain 2" of lift but lose 2" of travel?

Shorter shackles on an inverted shackle will give you less up travel then a longer one.

I hope that's not where you're mounting your limit straps

That was the thought as mounting location instructions were pretty vague so I was going off of pictures. It's in roughly the same location as theirs here, but I'm assuming their tab on the preproduction kit may have been angles slightly different. IMG_6399.jpg

Got my BajaKits kit installed with a few minor things but mainly the steering extensions weren't right but I sourced them from elsewhere. Also I broke the c clips on the inner axles so I had to hunt some down.

Installed the cam gussets while everything was out as well. Same with new inner/outer TRE's. Hoping tonight I can button it up and drive it. I need to figure out wtf I'm going to do with this huge length hose BK put on these Kings. They're too long for the runner to sit where they normally do.

That's going to do 1 of the following...
    Snap the lower mounting bolt
    or
Break the welds for the mounting tab at the LCA

Limit strap when taught, should be as close to a straight line as possible, from mounting point to mounting point (including where its welded). Pulling things at an angle like that increases the leverage and leads to premature failures.

    Also......

WTF is up with the upper clevis mount in that DK photo? How hard is it to get a double shear adjustable clevis in there?

Find a hose store near you and have them make you a set. Cheap and easy.
