Hollow Clunking Sound from Front Passenger

Im getting some clunking on my passenger side towards the front of the truck. I only normally hear it when going over larger pot holes on accident or making left turns over bumps and oddly when theres heavier people in my truck and im going up an. Its more noticeable with more weight in the cab. Do you guys think it could be my body mount bushings? I've this sound since I installed my SPC UCA's and Icon Extended travel coil overs (both used). I thought it may have been the UCA's, but I just replaced the bushings and ball joints. Someone brought up that it may be LCA's being loose, but I torqued everything. I should maybe wheel bearings, but if it was, wouldnt that sound be constant?

I ordered Energy Suspensions cab mount bushings hoping that that may solve the issue. But I have a feeling it probably wont

 

Have you actually got under there and looked?

I had some odd rubbing noise going on for 2 weeks before I had a chance to look things over-FML-broke spring.

My point is, quite often, the problem can be found if you look things over good in the daylight.

Sounds like you're checking out the right things. You did check the shock fittings as well, correct? And that the tophat is properly assembled?

All torquing was done with the suspension loaded, not in droop mode?

Yeah. I have. I was just under the truck last night

Lol. The one thing I haven't checked was the shock fittings and top hat. the coilovers seem tight but I'll probably try pulling them out. To be certain. Icon does have a rep for crappy top hat design.

I torqued everything excepts uca's (poly bushing) while the truck was weighted down on all 4 tires

 

I had two separate things going on that combined to sound as you describe, both worth checking. Driver side rear IFS skid mounting bolt was missing. Not kidding. Skid plate hitting sounded like it was coming from passenger side.
And then this.
Continuing disintegration of supports around the headlights and the radiator was causing a rattle coming from the right front of the truck. The end of the upper tie bar was flexing against the side panel/fender causing a click/rattle that was getting worse over time. Putting a little separation between and a twist in the bar made that noise stop.
Remove body-colored bolt, insert 1/4" washer underneath, reinstall bolt.

 

I was planning on trying that out today. All skid mount bolts are there. Thanks for the additional info

 

Same exact thing (2016 DCSB TRD OR with 6112/5160). Alignment is perfect, top hat, strut, and all related bolts are tight. It sounds as though the strut top nut is not tight or the sway bay link is the same, but all bolts are to spec.

 

That's kind of the sound I'm hearing. It sounds like something is loose. Thought it might be the carrier bearing but I hear it in 4wd too

 

yep, no difference in 4wd. 2" inch lift here. Acts like the CV axle reaches max travel.

 

What size lift are you running?

 

I have on Icon extended travel's in the front set at ~3". I got the clunk sound on the passenger side figured out. The radiator support bushing on that side was bad. The clunk on that side is gone now. But now im getting a clunk from my driver side. I may have installed the bushings wrong because the driver side radiator support bushing looks like its lower than the passenger and it looks like its causing the fender to be out of alignment

What part and part # did you use for the bushing replacement?

 

I don't remember the part number. I got the kit for the cab mounts also

 

OEM or Energy Suspension?

 

I went with the Energy Suspension. But im getting a new popping/clunking sound that I cant figure out. I may have installed the bushings wrong Im going to pull them out and reinstall to make sure i did everything right
