We have gone out to look at it twice already. My wife likes it and we have family in Yakima, so it could turn into a reality.

Holy shit I had no idea that area was so beautiful. I have to drive out that way sometime. I have secretly always wanted my own boat dock since grew up on Salmon Beach in Tacoma.

It has the best parts of Washington. Heat, trees, snow and water with desert close by. Totally a win.

551 is a very nice house. I love it out that way too.

That's the place my wife likes the best. I think the lot was only .75 acres or something like that. The other is nice, just not fancy. It's does come with 36 acres though.

Looking harder at the weekend after labor day, Fri-Sun. Short day Friday, camp between lower naches and the start of the pass. Then camp on the little naches Saturday, run up to moon rocks and funny rocks sunday, and come oit on the Ellensburg end of manastash.

    Dates are totally flexible.

I looked a few years ago and failed. "near Crater Lake" will be out off of the highways nearby and quite a trek to that lake. They keep it pretty well segregated.

On both sides of HWY 68 are just big forests with dirt roads all over. When I went, they were closed for fire danger, but I imagine you could easily find a little nook to tuck into out there. I really wanted to drive on one that paralleled the highway and was perfectly straight.

Went a few weeks ago with intentions of doing just this. Harder than you might think. You can't camp dispersed in the park itself. And most of the FS roads in the general area are just dirt roads in the forest. I suppose your could stop wherever, though.

I ended up staying in actual campgrounds both nights that I was out. Was just easier rather that searching out an elusive spot.

The first night I stayed at Black Canyon Campground. Big and nice and secluded.

I've heard good things about Blue Pool Campground, also along Hwy 58.

Next night I stayed at East Lomolo Campground which was way back off an FS road. Nice campground but the mosquitos were unreal. My dog and I were eaten alive. Small and super secluded.

I have no idea what the warranty details are, or how long it's good for. Sway-A-Way recently sold off their shock division (to aFe) so I doubt they'd do anything. I'm going to send aFe an email and see what they'll say. Either way, I still need to go through the hassle of swapping coils, and in the meantime I can't imagine driving down the highway with a broken/breaking coil is a particularly safe idea.

I've got my old icon 13" 650# coils if you want them. They aren't pretty, but they aren't broken.
