Looks a LOT like the Greens in Derby...

 

I know it's the same individual(s) because the other light is pointed to the drivers position like what happened a couple weeks ago. This time a light was lost they aren't cheap.

 

I'm in Arkansas.

Okay that makes sense... same architecture. The greens were built by the same development company. Is it not a gated community?

 

Could it be your driving around blinding people with your lights, and someone is correcting you.

 

Step 1: Buy shotgun and bird shot/rock salt (with backup real weapon just in case)
Step 2: Set bait lights
Step 3: Wait
Step 4: "Defend your property"

Or cameras... I suppose that could be an option too... doesn't work as well to teach them not to steal though.

 

I never have my lights on in town just for that reason. Only time I ever use them is if I'm at work at night or down a back road somewhere out in the country. No go pro gear unfortunately. I think I might park my girlfriends car near my truck, maybe put the cam in it or sit in it until around 2 AM.

 

I second this. Guarantee you some salt in their skin would deter them from doing anything like this again. Was there any damage to your paint or truck anywhere else?

 

I don't think there is any law in this country that will protect someone shooting a thief that is stealing parts off a vehicle. If the thief is in your home or in the vehicle while you're in it, different story...

 

I hate to hear when things like this happen. Sorry for your loss. Out of curiosity do you drive around with the lights on all the time. I could see you pissing someone off if so. If not it probably was a punk kid. The best medicine for a kid is usually their parents. If they are worth anything they will straighten them out and have them fix it.

Either way good luck with the black ops to catch the culprit.

Check the apartments policy on thefts. You live in a high-rent community with very strict rules, if you live where I think you live. There has got to be some sort of expectation of security provided by the community itself.

 

AZ would probaby just give you a disapproving look and then tell the thief that it's his own fault for messing with someone elses stuff. But this is one of the many reasons why I refuse to live in apartments, someone would have to physically be on my property to mess with my truck... which makes them fair game.

My house was broken into years ago when i lived in Philadelphia... The cops wouldn't even come inside!!

I said dont y'all want to look at the scene, check for fingerprints, something?? They said, from the front porch, all we need to know Is what was stolen... I said but they came through a window and i can literally see a smudged hand print on the outside of the window... They said "sir we dont have time to fingerprint every robbery... I said if y'all ain't got time to even come look inside my house you can get off my porch because your wasting my time. I was pissed.
