    No, it's a 4x4. Can't buy a 4x2 Limited in Canada.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
    I just did, and to a 1st gen 4x2.

Mostly said in jest however I did own a shortbed for 12 years and everyday i had it wished I had a longbed.

When the quad cabs first came out you could only get the shortbox, I hated that smaller bed but needed 4 doors more than hauling capacity at the time. Hated that I had to compromise but that was,all that was available with a 1st gen back then for 4 doors. Eventually Toyota realized not everyone wanted the shortbed with 4 doors so they added the longbed configuration with the 2nd gen but still wasn't available in the OR config, with the 3rd gen it all changed.

Now that I have the OR longbed and 4 doors, I never feel like I have too much room. Pretty certain there's a few shortbed owners wishing they had more room too.

    Size matters I guess.

I have a single cab 6 ft bed. Does what I need and gets 20-23 mpg city

I wish my gen2 AC had a 6'6" bed instead of a 6'1", but I make do. I had to add a roof rack to my camper shell so I could carry a 7' step ladder for use with my telescope (eyepiece is 8' off the ground when pointed straight up).

Me either, because if someone thinks that way, I really don't care about their opinion. I don't look down on anyone as a rule, but kidding around, that makes the day go quicker at my work place, and all in good fun (for the most part)I was just kidding, really.

Most of the ridgeline drivers in my area are retired men in their 60-70s. I think that is the age group Honda was targeting with that truck.
All the GMC Canyon and chevy colorado drivers are also old retired men in their 60-70s in my area.
Most Tacoma buyers fall in the 25-50s age group so Toyota is getting all the prime working age group people in this segment.
I think that is the main thing that makes chevy/GMC and Honda so jealous of the Tacoma because it can attract a broad range of buyers in almost all age groups in the mid size truck market. Young people in their early 20s, people in their 30s, people in their 40-50s, and even some retired people prefer the Tacoma.

Someone in another 3rd gen waved to me the day I bought mine. I thought it might happen more often, but it hasn't happened since.

Thanks for the clarification. I would of thought limiteds came in 4x4 since they should have all the nice options. Glad to see that is the case.

I usually talk to Taco owners at the pump or wave and sometimes I'll get a wave back if they're either modded or own a TRD model. I actually get more comments from either Tundra, or Chevy/Ford owners who admire the Taco, say its a cool truck yet don't understand why I paid for a midsized that costs as much as their full sized truck......They don't get the love.

    Like, so many.
    We cool.
We just seem to divide ourselves into increasingly smaller groups.
    By gen.
    By color.
    By transmission.
    By bed size.

Not we, some of us. 99% of the members here are also "cool", at least that is the way I see it.
End of the day, TW is enjoyable, or else, why would most of us be here?

I did once, a guy in a silver 3rd gen sport parked next to me at the grocery store as I was loading. I said "hey nice truck!" To which he replied "Ugh I guess i should say the same thing to you." Then he signed and walked away.

Can't really fault the guy, he looked like he just received some bad news....probably about the scoop being fake. :D

    Working on it.

Just wave at them and smile. And enjoy watching them get super aggro and enjoy the results. I did this to a guy on the highway the other day and while going full knuckle dragger he was caught by surprise when traffic suddenly slowed down resulting in the ape facing the wrong way on the highway. I enjoyed the display.
