Thats your choice, I hunt for meat but if something like that came into range and it was the proper season I'd shoot it. Sure theres always a little regret but its not going to stop me from hunting. Its not an endangered species so its fair game. Im not bashing your for your choice but just explaining mine.

For something to live, something else must die. Its just the laws of nature; i get being against strictly trophy hunting, but a large part of hunted animals would become over populated if they werent hunted, and since humans have taken iver most of their habitat, many would starve to death. Im not blasting anyone who is against it im just stating the facts. Im a meat hunter at least until the freezer is full and then i am mostly just trying to get away from people for a few hours haha

I will admit, there are people out there that do it for sport, But I believe for the majority of us, It is filling a most basic instinct to provide for our survival as humans. Id much rather want to know were my food came from and that it lived a full drug free/abuse free life and that I have provided for my family.

I set it there after shooting in the backyard something I typically hang off the bow.

Elk, deer and moose have much better flavor than beef does.

I hang mine on my bow also, because there is no sicker feeling than getting "ALL" the way out to your stand, getting "ALL" set up in the quite darkness, and then realizing that you don't have it with you!!!! that's why I also have a spare in my bag!!!

Truth. I bought two and acquired a third. I have one on my bow, one in my pack, and one in my "possibilities bag" that stays in camp  might be a tad overkill.

I only did that once! Luckily nothing showed up that day or I would have been had. I can shoot with my fingers but not very accurately. Now if Im going bow hunting I make positively sure its with my bow.

Shooting a compound bow with sights and a trigger release is like cheating. I prefer my recurve with just a bow, string and stick.

I just woo them to sleep with beautiful songs and then they repay me with packages of neatly processed meat.
