I'm trying to fix the hyper flashing of my switchback LED lights in the front of my 2013 Taco. Did the rear lights with resistors and have no problems. I'm not sure which wires to spice in to in the front. It's the 3157 bulb, so 3 filament. Each filament is numbered and is a different color. Just trying to find out which ones to splice without buying a multimeter. Any help?

+1 on the VLED's work perfect on my 2012. All plug and play with built in resistors so no hyper flash.

Selecting wires to cut/splice, or wiring work in general, w/o a multimeter is, well, silly.

$6 bucks at HF will get you one. Not that you want to make a living with as an electrician, but will work for the home hobbyist ok.

Also your Taco has a 2 wire wiring harness. 3157 require a 3 wire system and will not work or at least none I could find. Tried 3 different brands.
VLED's No splicing no cutting. Plug the controller directly into your original bulb socket...plug the Trident bulb into the controller... plug the resistor into the controller... plug the bulb into you housing socket. DONE... They are expensive but well worth it. Had mine for almost 3 years now with zero problem.

All my lights in the front of my truck are from Vled's. Only thing left is the headlights. Still pondering on which ones to go with....

I just figured of the thousands of members, someone would know which wire was which. They're literally numbered.

I have SRCK switchback LED's in the front turn signals - BUT I also did the disable DRL's mod I found on this site a couple of years ago.
On my 2012 to install these LED's in the front turn signal the LOAD RESISTOR is connected to these 2 wires.
One end connected to the yellow wire and the other end connected to the white w/ black stripe wire. The green wire wasn't used and is still connected
to housing. What's nice about doing the disable of the DRL's is that the LED's aren't on unless I turn on the parking lights with the steering column switch.

I'm using these srck Switchback LED's - you must use SRCK/CK wired LED's in a Tacoma - These have lasted me 3 years.

Only the fronts are CK. The rear tail/brake lights are NOT CK. The rear turnsignals don't matter, because there's only 2 terminals in the socket.

@csjumper2003 helped me with mine, if he doesn't chime in. I'll look at the sheet he sent that tells you exactly what wire(s) to cut/cap/splice.
