Can't really call 2 mpg a minor loss. That is a 10% decline.

I think it is possible to get better MPG with this tune once we stop testing out the new power. The truck will hold 5th better, I just have not been able to keep my foot out of it yet.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
It may get a little better once the ecu completely learns and we RE-learn new driving habits with the new tune:notsure:

When can I expect to be able to order the tune? Should I just keep checking back on their site or do I need to PM OV directly? Also, I see an additional option on the site for a 4x4 TRD off road...Should I just select 2017 Auto Trans for my 2017 TRD Pro? Thanks in advance.

Do you have a TRD with crawl control?

If you have a push button, with your foot off the brake, hit the button twice to have the ECU powered up.

Magnaflo catback exhaust, K&N cool air intake, Xenon Headlights, Led high beams, Led yellow fog lights, Gentex rear view mirror with homelink auto dimming and compass, TRD Pro Tail lights, TRD front Grill, side steps, Led backup lights.

Having a problem being able to read the ecu.
IDENTIFICATION button works and sent a screen shot to Mat, but getting low battery voltage errors (after a full charge) and program crashing the download 20 seconds into the process preventing a full read of the ecu.

This is after disabling everything I could think of including the radio/nav head unit. What am I f**king up?:frusty:

Now worried I won't be able to load the tune.

The problem seems to be whatever is sensing the voltage. Plenty of power battery reads 12.7vdc and even tried parallel connection with my other car battery reading 12.8vdc. So no shortage of power or low voltage something else seems to be going on.

I'm just spitballing but is there something wrong with your OBD2 connection? Bent pin? Pulled wire? USB port?

Nothing I can see, but the voltage fluctuates like something is not making a good connection. Maybe I'll try a different USB cable. Running out of ideas.

okay guys finally back. sorry 2 hours worth of traffic to get some cams picked up. ugh.

checking into this, working on tune files now.

Also I want to mention with this software and how it is flashed it's not easy to brick the ECU. there are several layers of protection in place. (like above) if the software is not confident you have a stable voltage it won't let you flash. It will not let you brick your ECU, unless you of course yank the cable out of the OBD mid flash.

@Iceman_JD I would also make sure your laptops power plan is set to max performance. Power plans can turn off/limit parts of the motherboard such as pci lanes and suspend USB activity if they are set to save battery life.

Make sure there's enough juice running max power to run the read though. Don't want it turning off...

Good idea I'll try that to.
