Blakey ridge in madco we stayed on the main trial the whole time but there is a bunch of trails that will take you all the way across the mountain towards Harrisonburg and Cville.

I thought it looked familiar. I understand now your going to have to get a sticker to go there. Like $50 a year but hey free camping and only like 35 minutes from home

hmm haven't heard anything about buying a pass. My dad goes up there a lot and he said as long as you have a hunting or fishing license then you're allowed to be up there because you can use that as like your "fee/excuse" to be on the trials and yeah it's pretty nice only being 30-40 minutes away.

Playing in my backyard I see. Haha That trail looks like it has gotten better than it was 8 months ago.

Sitting at my kids Boy Scout camp for the week and wanted to play with the plasti-dip. Anyone who's done this, do you have to clean the area first? We are in a gravel parking lot and way in the woods so not sure if I can clean it or not. I could use regular water but that's about it.

I used some rubbing alcohol to help clean mine up but it had been waxed recently. At a minimum try to wipe off the emblems a little to help clean the surface prior.

I did my grill and emblems recently and read through the whole plastidip thread before hand. One thing that kept coming up and I made sure that I did was surface prep. The cleaner the better. I used acetone after a good washing to get rid of all the road oil and grease. I was happy with the results.

I know it's probably not what you want to hear but I wouldn't waste my time messing with it unless you can get your surfaces prepped right.

I did the grill on my truck no prep at all just taped it up and sprayed it on haven't had a single problem with it peeling or anything.

Okay thanks guys. I think I will try and do just the grill emblem and see how that goes. I will take it off and prep with some soap and water as much as possible here at the camp. Worst case it doesn't work and I pull it all off and start again later.

Anyone have access to an auto salvage yard? I'm looking for a dash wiring harness for a 2013 (or so) Honda Accord. Don't ask.

Well, step 1 is done and that was the most nerve-wracking. Taking the grill off without breaking any tabs, which I do but a small piece so hoping it doesn't affect anything. I also took off the speed dial gauge surround pieces to dip those also. Man, if you do that BE PATIENT!
