Anyone ever run 5 lug wheels using 6 to 5 lug adapters? Reason I ask is I got a new set of Methods for a Tundra that I traded in for my 17 Tacoma. I found a set of Toyota specific adapters 6x139.7 to 5x150. The wheels have the same backspacing. Wondering if they'll work.

They will work, whether it is a good idea depends on how you plan on driving.

I don't off-road at all. Got a 2wd double cab leveled just for aesthetics.
Thanks for the input, I appreciate that.

Then the next question is how will the reduced backspacing from the spacer affect where the tire sits in the wheel well. Depending on the spacing and offset of your current wheel it might cause issues.

If you are going to run spacers, then you want steel ones that have their own studs. Since it's a 6 to 5 conversion, then that dictates they have their own studs, so just make sure they are steel. Remember that you will have to trim the existing studs, making it a real pain to go back.

The wheels are zero offset. I'll have to research more or just get the adapters and see for myself
