Financing shells?

is there anywhere that makes it possible to finance a shell? Is this even a thing?

Bro, this is a bad idea. This is like financing a TV.

Do you really need a shell that bad? I'm sure you can find used if you look hard enough or even just wait and save for it. If you are able to save for a $30k+ truck, surely you can save a little extra for a shell?

Financial advice aside (which I'm totally sure you were hoping everyone on the internet would give you).....I'd look to see if you have anything you could sell on craigslist to make a few extra quick bucks. Also check craigslist and the classifieds here for shells. Plenty of people sell their trucks and then sell the canopy separate to recoup more of the cost.

 

To answer your question, yes you can get a loan. Interest could be high though, maybe try a personal loan at your bank.

 

try searching used... you will find a much better deal than buying new from a dealer or camping dealer... your wallet will thank you later and if you get any small scratches or rock chips you wont feel like punching yourself in the nuts for paying full price lol

 

There is a difference between financing (preferably the smallest PORTION of the cost possible) a vehicle needed for transportation and financing vehicle dressup parts, toys, furniture, entertainment items, etc. You know that and aren't just trolling. Right? Right?

 

You could check around your local area for camper vendors to see if any of them offer financing.

Why?

I have 2 cards I use daily. Both have awesome pionts rewards, one gives me travel credit and one has an interest rate lower than a lot of people's loans which also have a credit line big enough to buy a new Porsche with an interest rate lower than Porsche offers. I paid for my honeymoon with points.

It makes literally zero sense to use cash or debit for anything other than to pay the card back if you have good credit. Banks want your business and I don't care about the small change they make off my purchases.

OP, if you have good credit, get a credit union card or a good rewards card. Use it. Pay it off fast. Enjoy

Yep. Apply for a good rewards card that offers 0% interest for the first 18 months.
Make sure the shell you are charging on the card is only 10% of the card's credit limit and don't use the card sparingly.
Pay $50-100 a month until it's paid off before the free interest period is over.

 

I'm in NY and we call them caps here. Funny the different names for different parts of the country. We call soft drinks soda allso, not pop or whatever people call it from different areas.Shells are either on the beach or what I put in my shotgun.

The anti debt crowd always seems knee jerk like they're the people who got a card with a 25% interest rate and maxed it out and struggled to pay it back , then blame credit cards as the problem. Like bitch it's you. You're the problem.

I have probably 75k points on my chase card, right now a balance I'll pay off next week and another 6400 points waiting transfer. I got tsa pre screen via the card as well.

The system is a game, learn to play it and it works for you.

 

Hell PayPal offers credit lines that don't even require a credit check and they do 12/6mo interest free.
