DIY tips to keep dust out of bed?

I know there are things like bedrugs that cover the tailgate and gap, but has anyone come up with a simple DIY trick to somewhat seal the gap between tailgate and bed? I thought about just a piece of duct tape but probably will melt and make a mess in the summer heat. Maybe a couple strips of velcro and some sort of fabric?

People here have used weatherstrip vertically to seal that area.

So you can't imagine a situation where the bed is covered and dust works its way up through the gap in the tailgate? Maybe some people carry stuff in there that they'd like to keep dust off as much as possible.

Thanks. I've seen some examples of weatherstrip for tailgates, but it's not the vertical sides I'm worried about but the gap along the bottom. Weatherstrip might work there too. I'll have to explore.

And this whole damn time I've been using a broom or garden hose to clean out the bed area... to think I could have just put a HEPA filter on the tailgate!

If anything that stuff would be good for keeping stuff from dropping OUT of the tailgate into the hinge. I could care less about dust coming in. It's the shit falling behind the tailgate and preventing it from closing I'd be pissed about.

Velcro or flexible rubber sheeting might be good if you don't ever plan on removing the tailgate...
