Well going back into a rental. Made it up to WA from CA with the taco and new dealership has parts ordered. First one they have seen up here leaking so no wait list. Happy to be headed towards this getting sorted out finally.

Has anyone here in the San Diego area gotten their truck back yet after taking it in for the recall? If so how long did it take them?

So CEOs assistant called me today that was nothing but a waste of time. So when a head called NHTSA and filed a complaint she said that would go into office Department of investigation with all the other complaints of the same problem and start getting investigated. She also said that I can file a complaint against the dealer and the manufacturer at FTC and their number is 877-382-4357

For the people totally fed up with this mess, what vehicle is most likely your next purchase ?

    I'm guessing a lot of T4 sales.

Got my truck back today from Sparks Toyota in Myrtle Beach, SC after exactly 70 days of not having it. 3.1 liters drained so didn't need the full housing change

She could not gave my a date or time then the parts would be arriving. I explained to her as big as Toyota is they should have more companies spitting out those parts to hurry up and get everyone's truck serviced. There is no reason why anyone should be waiting on month or two months or even three months for their truck that is completely ridiculous and uncalled for. She had nothing to say.

How are you liking the 150?..I was given the choice of a 150 or Ram 1500. Said dealers choice, they gave me the Ram. It's a 1500 with a V6 which has some get up and go..but such a light engine in a big truck just makes it feel unbalanced.

same here, got a rav4 as a loaner and its honestly a POS, interior feels very cheap, i swear driving it makes me produce estrogen, its not the worst car but it feels very far from the 28k price tag it had posted on the window.

Yeah it's certainly not a bad car, but I wouldn't say it's very good either. I mean, it's like the size of a go-cart, yet the handling feels wonky to me, and the braking is somehow even worse, IMO.

Most folks probably expect to see a young girl behind the wheel, instead, they see some dude with a shaved head.

But hey, at least it has seat height adjustment. lol

Interesting, the wife had a 1996 RAV4 we bought with 56k on it--traded it in with 314k or so when when she got her 2003 Highlander (which she will likely never part with). The RAV4 was a nice little beast, well built like any Toyota was back then--the only repairs in the 250k we had it were a failed TPS at 225k IIRC, and a worn inboard CV joint boot on the front passenger side at 300k of so...

We have '16 Rav4 in the family, its made in Japan as per door label and it appears to be good quality no issues thus far. I like it, just not for me I'm a truck guy but I don't get what some people's beef with it is other than maybe its a Toyota?

    Just saying!
    Cheers!
