I'd be careful how you word that- it's still just as easy to brick as any other chip being flashed, this software just has more preconditions required before allowing said flash...(from what it sounds like anyway)

 

Right, I dont mean that in any way for someone to be wreckless. Use good judgement of course but if you follow our instructions everything should be OK.

Well.. you could leave your truck with me and I could load up the tune and run a couple of tankfulls of premium through it while you're gone.. then it would be all ready to go for you when you get back. I could post progress reports for you to read while you're gone. It would really put me out, but I'd be willing to do it.

we will have it available back as soon as we are caught up. wont be too much longer as everything is starting to move now. The initial wave of orders was just a lot which caused a pile up.

Yes we will update our instructions and will be eliminating the process of dongle registration. So the new (and upcoming) kits that ship will be :
download drivers
download PCM software
plug dongle in
done.

 

Finally able to read the ecu and send the files to Mat. Thanks for everyone's help.

 

What was the issue?

 

Kept dumping the read process. Ended up using a heavier usb cable, powered the laptop, made dam sure the obd2 was firmly connected, plugged the flasher usb cable to another port and most important crossed my fingers.

Side note: Low floating battery voltage as read by program. True battery voltage was .3-5 vdc higher, Made no sense except maybe for a resistance or connection problem. Really I have no idea.
