As supposed to taking a photo like you did, then taking one of the truck 35' from their bay doors with the big "TOYOTA" dealership sign and a photo of the tech holding the nuts in his hands oh and one without the lug nuts on the wheels and in reference to the drag marks?

 

Sorry for your mess OP, I have had the dealer screw up several times. It was from simple shit too, like not putting oil cap back on. Nothing this bad though. GL

It's funny you say that. I drove over there later after I picked up a loaner they gave me from enterprise and they scrubbed that drag mark clean, lol. Not too worried about having their name in the backdrop - photos are gps embeded anyway when your phone takes them

yea, in the chicago land area. I wont go into detail on who it is unless things go south really fast.

 

This reminds me of a formula 1 race I was watching a long time ago. The driver pulled into pit road and the pit crew started the 4 tires and the refuel. 5 seconds later the car was gone and a pit crew member was standing there holding the big nut that holds the wheel on with the oh shit look on his face. Next shot was the onboard camera on the car showing the right front wheel walking in and out on the hub and the car stopping.

 

You should let other know so they can avoid any future cluster fucks from this dealer

No it's not. I highly doubt someone did this with malice. IMO comparing a personal injury to the damage of personal property is apples to apples NOT

 

No but in a case like lug nuts which would probably be the fastest way to kill someone right there next to non working brakes. It should be should be double checked by another tech. 5 seconds is all it takes.

I get that. Just wondering if it was the Chicago area because I audit for Local 701 Mech. union and I have been to several Toyota dealers.

 

Im presuming you audit mechanics working condition etc ? - when the manager told me that the tech has been working for years first thing popped into my head was if he was overworked & tired. Simple but dangerous mistakes are usually made under the influence of drugs,alcohol, or exhaustion.
