That is what gun control activists would do if they had common sense. Instead they try to regulate scary guns instead of guns that are actually used in the past majority of killings.

So some jack wagon I went shooting with on the 4th decided that one of my handguns and my AR deserved to sit in the dirt. Apparently my red dot sight was broken as well when it hit the ground. It wasn't the best as you can tell. So I'm in the market for a new optic. I was thinking of getting one with at least 5x magnification and is hinged to slide out of the way. Any recommendations? Not looking to spend more than 150 on it if that is possible.

No I just made him look like fool by hitting a target in 3 shots that he couldn't hit with a full 30 round mag.

    Just a suggestion @gmr102
    http://www.opticsplanet.com/vortex-sparc-ii-red-dot-2-moa.html
Use there "July4" code on checkout, $179+shipping, pretty good deal for a mid range red dot like that.

You're probably looking at a Vortex Sparc, like @PapaBear said. Or the Strikefire. You won't find anything worthwhile aside from those for that price, especially if you want something magnified. A magnified optic that rotates to the side does not exist, to my knowledge, except as a magnifier for a red dot. If you look at LUCID, they have a variable magnifier, but who knows if it's even worth a damn. I've never so much as seen a review for it.

Any of y'all have experience with the JP enterprises EZ trigger system?
Thinking of getting one for my secondary lower, use would be a light trigger for longer range uppers.

It's a nice trigger no doubt but I changed out mine from a factory JP rifle to a Geissele national match. It's adjusted to about 2 pounds. I installed a 2nd one on a grendel build.

Kid E lives where no firearm owner should live, and was late to the party lol, but I appreciate the comment a lot. I think we all agree Cali is no place for any of us to be. It's hell. I just thought I would start a mindful conversation and we somehow kept it together without getting banned or locking the thread which is a first for me :)

Depends on the role of the rifle and budget.
Vortex strike eagle is a 1-6 with an illuminated reticle
Primary arms has both a 1-6 and 1-8 with illuminated reticle.

Yeah, I'm considering a 1-6 for my 11.5" upper because it's nice to have the magnification as well as being able to shoot both eyes open up to ~3x and the illuminated reticle helps with faster/closer shooting.
