Do you think the stock skid plate on the TRD Off Road is good enough for green trails or should I upgrade it?? Bringing my truck into the shop next week for some work so I can just add it no problem.

If all you're doing is greens than you are all set with the stock one. Order a real one when you want to step up from greens through! Order right away

If I go then it's just green since my friend is in a Dakota and I've only had my truck 3 weeks and don't want to push it, baby steps.

See I did Greens my first time and we hit some nasty ones. Guy in his stock 4runner was smashin shit underneath all day and def need sliders or steps cuz if he hadn't got steps 3 days prior he would have really jacked up his rockers. (he was a douche and I had fun watching him ruin his vehicle) but don't want to see that happen to any of you, you can stick to the main lines which should be fine but we hit some mean greens..as far as having nothing on your truck goes.

But he did ask for stock skid. Not transfer or transmission. Hehe.

How about the lack of lug nuts? "It's got four or five on each one. I should be fine"
The Mobtown guys should be down there. Last year a couple of guys were putting them on in the parking lot. Maybe they have some in stock???

My stock skids after greens. But I was careful and have been off-road before. If you have some experience you should be ok. But I would recommend @Mobtown Offroad skids highly I was so much more confident doing stupid shit alone in Co with them.

Sliders and skids only saged my truck 1/4-1/2 inch, and still getting 19-20 mpg at 75-80 with 54 # tires.

Just get them, your gonna want them after you go any way.

For as bad as that 4runner sounded, he did surprisingly little damage underneath. I wouldn't do it to my new truck, but they are more capable stock than we think.
