I should also mention, for anybody who's already taken delivery of their Tacoma and has holes in the front fascia from the factory plate holder, this would be a great solution. This rubber bumper would be a great way to make use of the holes that are already in place to properly clearance the no drill mount and front fascia.

I got mine last weekend. Absolutely love it. Unfortunately it has rained almost everyday after installing it. As soon as I can clean my truck up again. I'll post up pictures.

Hi John. I have been selling these brackets for about a year and a half and you are the first person to inquire about a bracket for the first gen. I would be happy to explore the possibility of making one for the first gen. Interested?

Got my tag mount installed this weekend, and I am very pleased! Easy to assemble, and easy to install. Since my truck is white, I sprayed the mount with Rustoleum gloss white paint, and put strips of foam camper mount tape on the back side for extra protection.
I haven't put the tag on it yet, though. I have a pewter tag that's thicker than a normal tag, so I have to pick up longer screws for that. I should get that taken care of by this weekend. Here are a few pics...my apologies for the bugs on the truck...needs a bath! I'll post another pic when I get the tag mounted.

I like it! Looks great! The only thing you might consider is switching the screws to a more secure tool than a phillips. That would make it less likely that anyone would be able to walk away with your plate! Thank you for posting!

I couldn't find anything other than phillips at Lowe's that was long enough. They had panhead, but they wouldn't seat correctly. I plan to stop by Home Depot and see what they have to replace them.

Hey Aaron, do you have any in flat black by a chance? I'm assuming not being that a lot of guys have sprayed theirs. I figured I'd ask. I really like the product, I think I'll be ordering one soon.

    Thanks

Hi Tom. In order to keep the cost down and also because everyone seems to want something slightly different I do not paint them. I do scuff them up so they are ready for paint. But it is easy enough to rattle can them whatever color you want. Yell if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Got the new plate on after the car wash bent my last one at the dealer. The mount was fine, just The aluminum plate was damaged.

I have that same issue. I want a strong metal frame black that would not bend easily around the plates. The plates are personalized and I want to keep them looking good. Anyone have any ideas? The ones I have found are very flimsy even if they are bulky.
