It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
I have a dinky little rack from academy or somewhere with small bar studs. Id have to get a real cage to be able to go to failure

Don't forget the risk of a hernia. I have had two hernia surgeries but may have been predisposed since my dad had two also.

I feel you on the lower back stuff. I fractured my L4-L5 vertebrae playing football in high school, and my doctor said I would never be able to lift heavy again. 5 years later I'm squatting and deadlifting in the mid 500s. It's all about knowing your weak points and working on them.

Also look into pairing Corey G's Lunge U program with squat everyday. But don't do that for a few weeks / months.

Having been hurt before I'm overly careful, if that's a thing lol. I look ridiculous with a belt lifting 135 but I know my back, and I know it's downfalls.

Ideally, You really don't want to push to failure on squats without a spotter. But a cage is the next best thing.

I really do enjoy having someone that's into fitness. My partner is the only close friend I have to talk about it with. Everybody else thinks it's all we talk about, sorry it's our hobby lol.

Better safe than sorry. Some injuries take a long time to heal. You would know that having suffered a back injury. Hurt mine first time in the eighth grade and took several months before I could get in and out of bed without agony.

Screw neck or back injuries. Some of the worst pain ever I have c5 c6 disk issues and it can get bad.

Back pain or injuries are literally the worst. Paralyzing. I hurt mine deadlifting only 225 lbs. It locked up and I was unable to touch my toes for 3 weeks, try putting on pants...it's hard haha. I went through the electroshock therapy and all kinds of workouts to get it "fixed" and continuously have to work with it to strengthen the muscles around my spine.

It has become a way of life for me. I have been on the other side and don't want to go back. It is for sure good to have others to discuss it with.

For funsies. This was me in 2009. Doesn't do a whole lot without a picture of me now though..... unless you met me at big Chris' house.

Not trying to be gross, but you are hurting when it takes 5 minutes to wipe your butt after a bm.

I hurt my lower back when i first started lifting while doing cleans with horrible form. Still bothers me if im squatting working on the ground. But I know it could be a whole lot worse, and thankfully it improves greatly when i strengthen my lower back.
