Pretty sure I have decided to take 3 weeks. From probably around the 11th of october- november 5th.

 

Got an alignment today and finally maxed out my tre's....is everyone going moog when they replace? I'm doing inner and outer. Also any tips on r&r greatly appreciated

 

@Wheelspinner or anyone know why there are two different part numbers that would fit my truck for cv boot inners? Top and bottom in my cart. I'll call tomorrow to double check

 

Vatozone shoes. Needed them ASAP. Rear brakes aren't that important, so they will stay there til worn out.

 

Maybe the same part but a different supplier. I also read somewhere the the boots themselves are semi universal. As in different vehicles even different manufactures may use the same aftermarket boots as something else.

Anyone have a spare rear u joint I can borrow just so I can take my little cousins wheeling this weekend? I'll order one now and give you the new one next week when it gets in.

 

I have one. But I don't know how I can get it to that fast.

 

Is this the u-joint at the end of my spare driveshaft?
If yes, then you can borrow it.

 

That's a loooong road trip. I max out at two weeks. After that I get sick of living out of the truck.
I'd need a revised setup to do longer.

I haven't given up on the idea of flying out tho... time will tell.

 

At 3 weeks I feel like I was just getting the ball rolling. Returning home to my lawn 2' high and lawnmower wouldn't start, bills piled in the mailbox, and work the next day had me wanting to hop back in the truck and


I love the simplicity of living out of the truck.

I don't like moog anything anymore. The Beck-Arnley stuff seems pretty close OEM so I've been going that route.

 

Don't get me wrong - I had a great time - there's just a few things I'd set up differently with my equipment before doing it again.

They're both the same company. Federal Mogul.

 

Check out low range. They claim to have Japanese stuff. I just placed an order with them for tre's. If your close by my place I have a spare Spicer u joint as well
