Just installed a set of 6112/5160's yesterday on my 2015 non-TRD 4X4 DCSB. Took about 6 hours from start to finish. 6112's are set on the 3rd notch. Did not swap out UCA's.

Before > after measurements (fender lip to center of hubcap):

    Driver front: 20.0 > 22 5/8
    Passenger front: 19 7/8 > 22 5/8
    Driver rear: 22 1/16 > 22 1/4
    Passenger rear: 21 3/4 > 22 1/4

I'm hoping it will settle a bit over time and will update with new measurements after driving it a bit.

Also added some 235/85/16 Cooper ST Maxx Tires

Here's where we started. Not the best shot but I was pretty focused on getting it done:

I don't know if it matters since you're a 3rd Gen and I'm a 2nd Gen, but my 5160s came with a spacer and a small relocation bracket with the left shock so that the brake lines can be slightly relocated for more slack. I didn't need extended lines and I had the full Dakar leaf pack in. I have removed the 3rd leaf since that time to slightly soften up the ride since my bed is empty most of the time (and to lower it a bit). But either way, the full pack gave me 2.75-3" of lift and my lines were fine. Hope that helps.

How do you like your 255/75 ST Maxx tires? I installed 285/70R17 ST Maxx about 6000 miles ago and I am trying to figure out if the reason my suspension feels a little harsh is due to the 60 pound beefy tires or because I need to lower my clip position from 4th to 3rd, or both. I will probably take out the top overload on my Dakars as well to keep it level. It sits perfectly level (maybe 1/4-1/2" rake) with the 3rd leaf removed and the 6112s on the 4th position. I'm only a PreRunner btw.

Just wondering if a 31.77" ST Maxx feels a little better than a 32.99" as far as suspension movement. I'm sure it does and I knew the tires were gonna be heavy. Just rethinking my decision but I just spent A LOT of money on these tires. The 255/75 is the only C load ST Maxx that I can find on their website. Also, do you feel that size fills out the wheel well nicely? Thanks for any input!

It wasn't too bad for me. Have not installed the add-a-leaf yet but that seems to be the easiest part of the install. I disconnected the steering linkage with a puller. Had the truck pretty high up on stands which made it easier to get the coilovers out. Hardest part was getting the driver's side coilover in. Had to work the lower control arm pretty hard. Took if for an alignment and everything was actually in the green according to their system. Asked for 0 toe, 0 camber and the most caster they could give me. Ended up with about 2.0 degrees caster on both sides.

My shocks were set up on the third notch and this has worked out well for my 235/85-16 tires on stock wheels. Plenty of clearance and absolutely no rubbing. Did not install upper control arms and, after putting about 250 miles on the truck, it has settled nicely. Front axkes are pretty much in a straight line with no crazy CV angles.

Rear shocks went in no problem.

Oh, it was well worth the extra charge to have the coilovers assembled by Headstrong.

Thanks for the info. Do you really have 235/85-16 tires or is that a typo? I have just never heard of anyone using a tire that skinny

May be the next size I go with, if they will fit my wheels.
    What brand do you have?

235/85 isn't that uncommon for a large, but skinny, tire. It's a typical width for something like a Chevy Blazer or Ford Ranger

Yessir. Was thinking 255/85-17's initially but the 235/85-16 is a tire that will be easier to get if I need one on the road. The 235's also do not require a regear.

I am running Cooper ST Maxx tires. Had their 255/85-17 on my 80 series land cruiser and they did really well. They lasted awhile and were good in the wet and snow - when we get snow in Fort Worth. I hunted down a set of stock steel wheels just to make sure I was GTG on backspacing and the width was right for the tires.

Because it was posted in another thread....not the best pics but they'll do to show the difference.

This is the perfect set-up! Really nice truck!

What settings on your coil overs? I'm considering #3/#4, but I like whatever you have.
Also, did you need to change out UCAs?

I went with 5/4 and am running factory control arms. The alignment came out fine with no issues. I removed the overload leaf in the rear and gained about 1.5" all the way around keeping the factory rake.

Bumping this back up to the surface, as the final question is a good one.

I feel like I have the vertical clearance to run 285's without a problem. I think the real key to not having to do a CMC is the offset of the wheel you choose to run. It seems that the people with the most success are running a 0 offset.

any 3rd gen TRD OR or sport guys running these on top notch settings have any feed back?
Weighing my options on a 2" lift, I feel maxing them out wouldnt be a great idea for a smooth daily driver.

@Humboldt_Homie has them on double cab long bed on the top notch and I believe the ride for him is OK , @ClydeFrog has them on access cab and if I remember correctly they are a little stiff for him . Dealing with cars for 28 years one thing I know is that ride is subjective each person may have a slightly different opinion even on the same setup. I plan on running them at max on a 3rd gen double cab long bed. The long bed and the double cab would probably also help soften the ride because of the extra added weight
