For stock lug nuts you're limited to chrome, or a gloss black, both made by gorilla. Any attempt to make them matte black will just chip off after a couple uses.

Are you a Toyota mechanic? I used to turn wrenches at a custom performance shop, took me 7 years to pay off my tools. Granted, there are tech's that do care, I was one of them. I am sure you are one of them. But I can honestly say, that when I test drove that custom high performance machine, I did test my work and had an absolutely amazing time doing it. Sometimes even with the customer in the passenger seat. Today's kids don't care about shit, they just want to get high and get back home to their stupid video games. Will never take my stuff to the dealer unless I have to. Why would I want someone to shit all over this.

I'll never work for another dealer again!!!!! I worked for Honda for about a year. 2nd worst job I have ever had. You can usually tell who gives a shit about their job by their tool box. The guy with the giant toolbox from snap on or Matco without a scratch on it probably cares since his box costs more than most cars on the road. The kid that is always trying to bum tools off other guys probably doesn't give a rats ass. And yes, drugs are a problem but it's also a stressful and very hard job. No justifying it, but it is a hard life that requires a lot of dedication and money and non stop learning. A good tech will never stop learning or buying tools.

Could not agree with you more. I have 2 snap-on boxes, and a lot of tools that I have customized for that special moment that makes you say WTF, WHY, WHY, WHY? Check this toy out. HP V8, 4sd, locked with 5.88s, E ticket ride, wife hated it.

Yeah. A set of 1/4 metric sockets 4.5-14mm is only 180 bucks.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought when u sandblast something and expose bare metal, u can powder coat it and it should last. As far as the limited options go, why hasn't anyone made different color lug nuts?

I very well may be wrong. The only experience I have with powder coat is people on here who have armor powder coated, and it can still chip off. I'd just hate you to go through all this trouble and have it come off.

Speaking of that, I asked him if I can have some of the bed rail covers in bare metal, no powder coat or paint and he told me no.

That was one of the first run caps. He has mentioned that the PC on those were not done correctly.

I learned about this when I had my allpro sliders coated locally. A good powder coated will put a zinc base coat down first then powder coat over. To prevent rust
