I just got off the phone with Mike at CBI. I ordered a Cabrac plus some accessories. I wanted to pass along what he told me about lead times. As of now, the lead time is 6 to 8 weeks. However, as he put it, they are working to drastically cut that down to almost nothing. So, it looks like maybe Zach might be getting some help over there soon. It's great customer service over the phone, so I'd recommend making a call as opposed to email if you need answers Now.

 

Yea, I asked if they could get me one by the first week in September, possible but no guarantee. Too bad, guess I'll have to go to Front Runner.

 

Yeah, he told me it was possible my order could get caught up in the faster shipping time frame they're working on, but for now, just consider it 6 - 8 weeks lead time.

 

My receipt said "est. Shipping time " 8/22. Which obviously is the 6 week mark. If they could ship it sooner I won't argue. 6 -8 weeks is a hell of a lot better than 6-10 months waiting for stamps from the ATF. I can be patient. Lol

 

I'm planning to buy a RTT in Asheville at the overland expo, end of September so I need the rack by first of September. Really want Prinsu to match the one on the truck, but time frame is too uncertain. Can't afford to tie up my money and not get one in time.

 

Completely understandable. Don't forget to eat at the fancy McDonald's while your there. Play a tune on their grand piano. Lol

I guess I him on a good day. I sent him an email at a red light and literally had a response before the light turned green.

 

My receipt shows 8/25 for EST. SHIP DATE, or roughly 6 weeks.

 

When did you guys order?

 

I ordered yesterday, but Paypal payment was made today. Receipt also came today.

 

To provide a datapoint, my powder coated cabrac is out for delivery today (no indication that all the items I ordered are coming... a couple extra 1x1 crossbars and the weather strip... crossing fingers when I open it tonight), and I ordered it on May 31st. I believe Zach said that orders in my ordering timeframe were fullfilled by him, not CBI. CBI was fulfilling orders sometime in early June, if I remember correctly.

 

So, if I assume it took a week for your shipment to arrive, it was actually shipped out at week 5, correct?

 

Looking back at the tracking history, it left Salt Lake on 7/7 and showed up today in NH. I got an email when the label was made on 6/29.

So yeah, about 5 weeks from order to ship and a week to arrive. and again, this is via Zach, and not CBI I believe. According to Zach in this thread, any new orders will be fulfilled by CBI.

 

I ordered at the beginning of the month, and was quoted an estimated shipping date of 8/16 on my invoice from CBI. So a 6 week lead before shipping.

 

I got mine in 5 weeks, mind u this was a few months back.

 

The way I feel, I wanted this rack system for close to two years now. I can wait another 6-8 weeks.

 

I ordered it on the 8th (Saturday ) and got the cbi receipt on monday with est. Shipping date of 8/22.

 

I waited 7 weeks for delivery, but for me it was worth the wait. Finally got it installed this morning.

 

Have you made final adjustment on the wind deflector position?
