I'm looking at HF to get myself a floor jack. What height is tall enough for our trucks when running a lift?

I don't see measurements for how low or high it goes, just that is has 20in of travel.

Not sure. I have a 3" lift, and still use a block of wood on top of the floor jack to lift the truck

@boogie3478 looks like I won't be mounting my tent on your bars. I am going to take them off today. So they will not have seen any use except at the mall

Go for it man, I don't know what the extension is, but it will likely achieve what Im trying to do with that other jack. In your case, you should have minimal droop compared to me. I say go for it. At 19 inches, you may not even need the extension to be honest.

floor jacks are not long enough for a lifted truck.... get the tallest one you can, and a chunk of 2x6 :)

I use mine under LCAs, skids, etc, and use my highlift to actualy get the truck off the ground.

The shop I did my lift in had no problem after the lift was installed. His jack was older than the hills but SnapOn. I only have 265/70/17 so maybe the smaller tire was the reason?

smaller tires will help, SnapOn will help too.

They make floor jacks big enough for 12 wheel dump trucks, but harbor frieght doesn't sell 'em :)

I know when I got mine the transfer case had about a 6 inch thick rectangular box. I rolled home with 5 individual skid plates in their own boxes, 3 were in my bed with a tonneau cover over top. There is a good chance he can make it.

For those looking to pick up items at Mobtown, I recently realized they are essentially on my Bi-weekly commute from the Shore to Herndon. If anyone needs TW express from them, I travel to the Metro area every two weeks and could help out.

    Well there you go...

Personally if Im going to haul stuff from a place that I am picking up, I generally tend to clear out my truck besides the essentials like a spare tire and so on. I know its easier to not do this, but why limit yourself on gear you don't need for the commute?
