Coma Taco build thread

Thought I'd finally start a build thread for my 2012 silver streak mica AC, so I guess we'll start at the beginning, I purchased Raya four years ago and what can I say she was ALMOST perfect!

This is her with her first mods, chrome bull bar and side steps.

 

After a year or so with all that shiny chrome I was looking to start blacking out the chrome beginning with the emblems and grill, used plasti-dip and it's held up well!

The lovely girlfriend who likes mods just as much as me! Always eager to help.

Next up was replacing the bull bar with a big ass steel plate front bumper after my dad backed into my truck.

 

Next up was new rims, I went with the pro comp rock crawlers and 2" spacers for a nice aggressive stance.

Let there be light and noise!
Cherry bomb vortex muffler and two 5"x1" spot lights
I really enjoy the vortex, it's quiet until higher RPMs

Also moved the license plate.

 

Patch 'N color match

Began my patch collection!

Got rid of the black plasti-dip and color matched the grill surround along with the grill emblem.

 

Suspension time!
I realized with the 200 lb bumper my front suspension was sagging quite a bit so I purchased a set of 2" leveling spacers to hold me over until new suspension.

Leveled out nicely

 

Although I liked those little spot lights I figured it was time for something better and brighter!
Enter 20" light bar!
Also new D rings

 

I got an amazing deal on the stock suspension off a 2017 off road, shout out to @NoCoTaco for the great deal!

Drove from Iowa to Colorado to visit family and pick up the suspension!

Drove through blizzards on the way there and back, Raya handled it like a champ, we were the only vehicle doing 75 through Nebraska.

It took a while to have free time but I finally got the new rear suspension in, the new leaf springs brought the rear end up about an inch since mine was sagging a little.

 

Gotta have the Chinese knobs!
$13 on Amazon and one 5 minute installation later...

As well as refinishing my skid plate, used silver high heat paint.

 

Next on the mod list,

Install new front coilovers
Upgrade tires to 265/70/16s
Purchase camper
Fab tire rack for spare tire in truck bed
Paint pinch weld

 

Sub'd for a cool build

 

Update: I just purchased a like new set of Bridgestone deuler 265/70/16s! I'll pick them up next week and will get them mounted soon there after

 

Seller backed out last minute

 

But that's ok I'd really like 265/75/16 s just that extra inch would really help raise the diff

 

Man!! Your build is looking good! I'm newbie... I really need to start my build thread so I can get some advice.
Which wheel and leveling spacers did you install? Do you know if it'll fit a 07 Access Cab? Please post link if available. Thanks Man!!

 

I went with the 2 inch leveling spacers from Supreme suspensions they will for any 2 nd gen, don't do the 3" kit or it'll put your nose higher than the rear! Access cabs experience more lift than double cabs with the same suspension mods due to weight differences. Enjoy your build man!

Also don't freak out when you get the spacers, they're only 1" tall but the lift ratio is 2:1 so you WILL get 2 inches of lift in the front!
