They won't be welded. All pro bed bars for an rtt. Can pull them off whenever. I figured I'd try it. See how well it'll last. And if it starts getting crazy chipped and scratched then I'll just bedline it. But figure I'd try something different.

Haha. I figured that's what you thought. Hopefully these bars come out good. One of the mounts came bent from transportation so I had to bang it out a little. Will let it cure until Saturday morning before I throw them on.

Hmmm. Pool noodle? Lmao. I don't really care if they get scratched. Figured it'll happen no matter what I do. Just wanted to change it up from the normal bedliner.

Kydex is actually pretty easy to work with. Heat gun should be enough to get the curve you need to make these again. If you want to get fancy, get a small section of tube and put it in the oven for a few minutes with the kydex on top. Once it heats up, it'll curve (melt) right around the tube. You can buy small sheets on Amazon and ebay in different colors/patterns. DIY.

Excuse my intrusion. I'll see myself out.

It was actually the thumb nail that you posted that brought me here in the first place. Those kydex things are pretty cool. I lost the thread, but now that I know he's not doing them anymore, I'll make them myself. Worst case scenario (too lazy or too busy), I have a guy that makes holsters that can make them for me.

So here it is. Just needs to cure now. Came out a little lighter than the gunmetal from @SCSPerformance but I'm happy with it.

Edit: this pictures shows a slight hint of bronze but it's much more gray in person.

Here's a quick picture of them on the bed. They aren't mounted yet. Came out a tad lighter. Mixed the paint by eyeballing it. Lol. Happy for now.

Yeah it was nice had OME susp. like 33" nitto ridge grapplers. i think the bumper was a ARB with a winch. I guess theres a guy here in Stuart that refurbs yotas. He had a real nice fj40 in the back.
