On another note, the PM did basically intentionally decide not to mention a single province in the 150 years speech. I guess the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to giving Alberta the middle finger.

His citizenship should have been revoked the second he became a terrorist.

No its like saying the Supreme Court ruled his rights were violated by the Government of Canada , thats why he's getting a settlement

That's why as soon as he joined a terrorist group his citizenship should have been revoked.

The supreme court ruled for what was legally correct but morally wrong. Funny thing is that when the guy was first captured it was the same party in power so the government has no one else to blame.

Pretty much. How much of that 10 million is going straight to a terrorist organization?

Hard to tell. The only real issue I have with this all is that the guy has a +100 million dollar settlement against him from the widow of the US solder he killed but the Canadian Government paid him out before she could place her claim against his settlement. That's total BS. I'd love to see @OZ-T explain that one away.

I know you guys aren't great at reading comprehension but I didn't say whether I agreed or disagreed with the situation , I only stated the fact that the ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada is why he is getting a settlement , I have no need to "explain away" anything

    Original comment:
It seems like you need to learn to express your thoughts with full sentences. What is this by the way, grade 2? I know carpenters don't need to complete high school but I did expect a better opening volley before you decided to put on your Grammar Nazi hat.

Getting back to the topic, this whole situation was massively mishandled by the government/party involved. Yes, the Supreme Court ruling was expected. They have to base their ruling on the laws that are written. We cannot fault them for that. However, if this situation had of been handled properly by Martin's Liberals over a decade ago then none of this would of happened. The fact that the current government screwed things up even worse by paying out the settlement before a legal claim could be made on that money is even worse. It's almost like the government wants to create these issues which is very frustrating. I have to hope, at some point, that karma will catch up to Khadr and he'll have to pay out that award he got to the family of the man he killed. That, or hopefully he gets hit by a bus carrying American tourists.
