Thank you. The RTT are expensive, Duplex was pricey, but a fraction of the price of a RTT. If shat hits the fan, I can leave a tent behind and be gone or if I want to take the truck for a ride. I was able to use the stakes and one pole from my Solplex to cut the cost of the Duplex. Saving the Solplex in case I go into the back country of a Park with a group where I can't take a dog.
I had a TT floorless Squall, sold it, too much condensation at times, maybe a solid floor would have helped instead of a polycryo gc.

Floor does not help, heavy condensation is by far the biggest problem on the double rainbow.

I love my Contrail. The only time I very have an issue with condensation was on the very first trip. Pear Lake in a nearly constant rain setting up on Granite. I've since learned how to set the TT up to both block rain and still vent moisture. My only complaint is that it has a long foot print making off-trail camp sites a bit more difficult to find.

Maybe they called it the double rainbow because with a good, well positioned headlamp you can produce one inside the tent.

Horger - can you tell me who makes that table that looks like it folds up and fits into a shirt pocket? The one with the paper towels and coffee mugs hanging on it... That looks either really cool, or a rube-goldberg disaster. How do you like it and how small it it when closed for travel?
    Thanks!

First I've heard of it for me. I've never been to CA and had to deal with the way things are, but from what I've heard from some of the people up here it seems to be getting crazy, so some people might like it.

It's mostly the rural northern county's that want to split.

It comes down to loving where you live but being at odds with almost everything that comes down from the state capital.

Including all the fee's (basically taxes without us getting a vote) the politicians love to come up with.

    It's nuts.

The State of Jefferson unfortunately is not likely to happen. But we all look fondly at the idea kinda like the hobos during the depression heading out towards "Big Rock Candy Mountain"

Not JeffCo. And not the Candy Mtn east of Fultondale. (I used to live in that area!)

This is NorCal. Kind of like what Winston county has been trying for ages, be its own state.
