The cheapo RainX blades I bought fit to the windshield the best, but after only a couple months they're streaking now.

I tried and brought back literally every brand at the local Wal-Mart except the Bosch Icons and the cheapest SuperTech blades. Every one of them, even the Trico that are the equivalent to the Icons didn't wipe at the tip of the wiper up top on the driver side. Anyone else having this?

I know it's picky, but is there an aftermarket blade that wipes perfectly or only OEM? I threw my OEM's out before I knew you could change the insert. I didn't think any blade did that anymore. The OEM wiped well so I may buy another set if there are no good aftermarkets.

I think I'm going with the $7 ones from Costco from now on. I think they are rainx?

They all seem to need to be replaced at around the same time anyway.

I'm just over a year into mine but with the crazy winter we had they're torched. Was going to go with Bosch icons but idk.

OEM are the best. I apply RainX to my windshield every couple of months and they work great!

I may give them a try. I would just love something a bit cheaper that lasted at least 6 months and wiped all the way to the tip.

I got a coupon for my dealer and bought the OEM inserts. Swapped em out and they work great. The Bosch wipers worked good in my last ride but have a short life span. Too short for what they cost IMO. I think 6 months was about the best I got out of them before they started streaking.

If I pay $20 or more for a wiper blade it better get the tip too!

I think I'm sold on the OEM at this point. About to check the price.

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
When I wash my truck I always pull the blade up and wash the oil and bug guts off the wiper...

You would be surprised how greasy the rubber wiper gets...

you may be approaching this the wrong way, the least bit of "road film" will cause even new blades to skip and streak, you have proven it to yourself.
This is old school, a bit messy but will work...........get yourself a can of" BonAmie" cleanser, not Comet, not Ajax, not whatever, all of these have abrasives in them and will etch your glass.
wet the glass shake the BonAmie onto it. wipe with a paper towel including the edge of the wiper. rinse thoroughly with a garden hose and dry with a piece of newspaper print. The PH in the BonAmie is exactly right to cut the road film clean the glass. This really works.

It's hard to find Sightlines for 2016+ so I guess it's gonna require a trip to the dealer. They look to be $30 for a st online through dealerships on eBay. Hopefully it's the same in person bc that's worth every penny.

    ^^^^^ What he said.

My dad taught me about Bon Ami cleanser (also in bar form) back in the 1970's, and it works amazingly good.

Ive had zero complaints with the OEM blades and application of rainx on the windshield.

I'm probably not the best data point though since I live in SoCal.
