I hope you have time cause this is a long one. I have an 06 Taco with a Pro Comp 6inch lift on 35s, so i took my truck into the stealership about a week ago for a popping in the front end and a growl in the front diff in 4wd. Well they looked at it and said that i needed to fix the pop before they could look at the diff, also they said that they think the diff noise would prob go away when the pop was gone. Keep in mind that the stealership here sells trucks with lifts on them. They told me that i need to take it to the company that put the lift on because they said the pop was because of the lift, so I'm like ok no problem cause the company I use is 4WP plus that is the same company that they use and they got it all worked out so that it would be a warranty thing. So i took it to 4WP and they said the sway bar is hitting the spindle, and they put a sway bar relocation kit on it and most of the pop went away. They said that it was probably caused by the rack and pinion bushings being worn out. They said the rack is good but the bushings are bad. so this morning I threw it in 4WD and heard the most god aweful noise that sounded like a really bad grind. So i pull over and got under the truck to see what the hell. I turn the front driveshaft and it spins freely and then it hits something and then spins free so I know that its trashed. So I took it to Toyota immediately for the diff noise and to tell them about the rack. So I tell the guy about the problem and he says they'll look at it. Hours later they call me and say that they are not sure that its gonna be under warranty because the angle of the driveshaft is different from stock. By about 5 degrees is exactly what they said and they took pics of a stock taco and mine so that they could send them higher up the food chain, so that it could be determined if it is under warranty. There pulling the whole "well because of the lift" basically they think that the lift caused it to fail and I disagree, and i told the guy that if they would have looked at the diff when i brought it in last week we would probably not be in this predicament right now. So I really don't know what to do with this whole situation. I just needed to vent. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I think that they are going to screw me over and Ill have to pay for it. In that case im not gonna buy stock crap.

Do you know how much 4.5 3.5 2 inches. ?
Although it sounds like you have busted R&P which should not really be affected by lift, unless you blew seal and have no gear oil in the thing.

Not really sure about how much drop it has... and im sure it has fluid cause i checked it out and even replaced it. I dont think my problem is caused by the lift.

If it had fluid hen its pretty much impossible for this thing to brake unless it is manufactured defect. If you put lots of stress then your CV's will brake first.
Did you check if you have play in CV (excesive movement)
Either way I dont think they have any right to deny warranty work if you still have warranty.
