No, if you want to raise or lower the truck? Mine have two rings. One raises lowers the coil and the other is like a lock ring. Unfortunately, both plastic, no matter how much you torque them with the spanner wrenches, they will still allow the coil to slowly wander down over time.

Look at the first pic. Appears to be threaded on the shock body, of you zoom in

Mine have threads too. How does the adjuster ring lock in place so it will not turn over time. My standard Boss design has the small ring below the adjustment ring that is "supposed" to be like a double nut to lock it in place. Problem is they are plastic so despite tightening with the spanner wrenches to the point that any more would likely break the ring, it just doesn't work well. I cannot tell from your pic if the adjuster has a set screw or two rings or what?

And, please, not ragging you here. Just trying to learn. If/when I get tired of mine or they break, since they are not rebuildable, I may want to get the kind you have?

Feel like plastic to me . . . you could be right. Will verify tomorrow. Could be the lock ring is plastic.

As far as looking at them there is nothing that locks the main ring in place.

They re aluminum. They is no way plastic would hold a 650lb coil left alone the truck.

Ugh. Then I have to start worrying about re-balancing the shaft and all that insanity. I don't have any indication that any of the u-joints or the double-cardan are having any problems, I grease them every 5,000 miles, so I think I'm going to let them be for now.

Yeah, my transmission mount isn't sagging too bad, but I can see where one of the rubber isolators is starting to separate from the metal. So, it's time.

I have replaced all my shifter seats with Marlin Crawler products for years. I highly recommend them.

The 4X transmission mount is very well made and looks bullet proof. My old one had the rubber separated on one side and only had one bolt in it. So anything would have been an improvement there. But I am impressed with the quality of the mount.

I would question the 'some have said' . My understanding is that the early 2.7's WITH AUTO TRANNY got the 4.56 gears. That is what I have and my gear code is B04A (4.56 ratio).
