Anybody running 33/12.5/15's got any info on what offset and backspacing to use?

What size width of wheels? Do you mind rubbing at full lock?

I kind of do, I'm getting a new front bumper, so hopefully I don't rub, and I don't really know what rim width, that's also something I have questions about

Even after the new bumper you're going to rub the frame at full lock. 10.5s and 11.5s fit much better. My 285/75/16s (11.5 wide) only rub the frame at full lock occasionally. They definitely rub when aired down though. And that's with a wheel with 4.5" backspacing.

8 and 10 inch width are probably the best options.

I prefer 8" on a 12.5" wide tire. Because if you off-road and air down with a larger width wheel, your chances of popping a bead are less likely. Anyways, that's what I've repeatedly been told.

You can always go to a 285/75/15 which will decrease rub.

I would go with 11.5 wides but I specifically want the tires huge wide, rubbing at full lock doesn't really bother me

My experience with 33 12.5 15 is good luck finding rims that clear the caliper. 15's are going to limit you to aluminium and I'm running 3.25 b.s.

I'm running negative offset 3.75 15x8. Doesn't stick out annoyingly. I've never been pulled over with four years running no mudflaps.

I ran 33x12.50r15's on 3.75bs steel crawler wheels with no wheel spacers and no frame rub. Had to smash in the pinch weld and trim some of the inner fender lining but that's a given.

not true. You can run a 1/4 spacer and call it good. I did get extended wheel studs to compensate. I'll post pics.

    First setup is 15x8 33x12.5 BS 3.75
Second setup is 15x10 33x12.5 BS 4.5 (Rub at full turn on the passenger side frame, doesn't bother me)

both steel wheels that you can get from 4wd parts or summit racing

    I'm running ATX Teflon Mojave 15x8, 3.75" BS w 33/12.5
    No frame rub

Another truck I previously had I ran Wheelers Steelies in a 15x8 w 4" BS w 33/12.5 and i rubbed the frame at full lock.

3.75" or less seems to be the magic number for a 12.5" wide tire

So pretty much I'd want to go with 8 inch wheel?

So the time has finally come for wheels and tires and I’ve decided to do a 16 with 12” wide tires, anyone have a clue if 16x8 with 4.5 backspacing would still work? I don’t a care about frame rub at full lock

When I first bought my current truck, it had 285's (11.5" wide) on a 16x8 4.5" BS wheels and they rubbed the frame pretty decent at full lock. I've also had a different 1st gen with 33/12.5's and a 15x8 4" BS and those rubbed the frame as well about the same amount. I'm currently on 33/12.5's with a 15x8 3.75" BS wheel and get no frame rub.

Ok, I found a deal on some wheels with 4.5 backspacing, I’m going to see if I can find some 3.75

16" wheels are tough to find in that BS. I think that SCS makes some around that. Also, I believe procomp aluminum wheels are 4" in a 16
